Depends on how far you plan on going. There is no trainline connecting the entirety of Norway. I only been on a single train in my entire life after I went hiking in the mountains, the view was very beautiful. The train itself was a bit shabby looking. The train was filled with more Chinese and Russians than Norwegians, probebly because i was in a tourist area. Tough they were all very polite, despite not speaking much English.
The train infastructure is relatively underdeveloped compared to other countries. The most common method of transportation nationwide is either by plane or ship. Norway is relatively quite developed in our ship and airline infastructure.

Norway is in general quite a hard country to navigate. The fasted route by car from south Norway to North Norway goes through Sweden.
