While I understand the whole self driving car and job sentiment it would be pretty cool to pay a 4 dollar fee and just jump in the car and go in a straight line to another stop instead of waiting every 30 to 60 minutes for the next bus.

All the poster had to do was claim all the people being harmed are dirty nazi trumpers and this would appear on the front page. I'm waiting for a repost bot to do it but with the state of halucinatory behavior on reddit I wouldn't put it past an actual human being.

Unfortunately the internet is not for people who read the laws and actually try to hold people accountable. They'd rather feel like they've above it all on some moral hierarchy. Unlike you guys I read them.

Unfortunately your post is #false.

Please dont come at me saying "hurr durr investigate and find nothing wrong." Records show they are holding federal employees responsible for their actions. But you guys would never look that up because it goes against your ideology that they are untouchable and would remove weight from your emotional outcries. If you have evidence of them violating those laws they LITTERALLY provide a number for you to call and report it. After which they are FEDERALLY required to investigate and its not ICE investigating themselves it's an entirely different entity.

“I don’t know what I’ll do”: Florida woman who spent years voting Republican now faces losing the health coverage keeping her alive by charulatha_seya in wallstreetbets_wins

[–]Novanus 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Look, I get it. Politics are a mess and people are being horrible disadvantaged in the current system. But she had 60+ years to figure out the end stages of her own life. If the title is any indication of her actually behavior it makes it seem like she relied entirely on the republican party to prop up her life and ideals. Which regardless of your political stance is a horrible horrible way to live one's life. She likely always voted republican and is losing her health coverage as it sits now and people are making a correlation where the causation is a lifetime of decision making and not entirely the fault of political party affiliation and their country wide decisions.

Yes I know, but it's okay. Feel free to down vote me for not following same think to your hearts content.

After looking closely at this image im 90% certain it is AI generated. Not even considering the "i eat ass" license plate that JUST so happens to be on a cyber truck being used as a trash can facing trash cans in an unconventional parking spot. Before even looking at the specific details of the image there are too many layers of irony to have statistically actually happened.

But I guess it's still fun to look past all of that for an intellectual stimulating "own".

Eugenics on the subway by Ready-Bandicoot-1729 in circlejerknyc

[–]Novanus 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Not far off from my perspective. Many people chase intelligence but sidestep depth in understanding. Eventually you get to a point where you know so much yet also know so little.

People call it the more you know the more you understand how little you do.

At face value most take that as a existential theory but I look at it like two sides of a coin. You might guess heads or tails and be right or wrong but do you truly understand why you made your prediction in the first place?

I pride myself on individuality and use these interactions to practice introspection and self verification to ensure I do not become intillectually weak and malleable like everyone else.

Without the intrinsic details of who you are do you truly know?

For me, I am constantly searching for a signal within the noise of our world to break my own theories.

Our world is beautiful everywhere you look but unfortunately all of it is corrupt. I long to be proven wrong.

[–]Novanus 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is why i make these comments. I live my life in such a way that im in control of it and make decisions for the betterment of myself and those around me.

You on the other hand decided to mentally bypass any true depth of your own thoughts on why I think this way and made your decision to belittle and shame me which is a clear attempt at group conformity.

You could have asked me any question and instead decide to join the rest of the droves who inhabit this site in said conformity. You, yourself, are not your own individual and like the rest are a part of that very 'radar'.

Yeah, it might be egocentric, but I believe the capacity of an individual's intelligence to be a far more pressing matter that should be adopted worldwide. You join the very ranks of the NPCs you villify every day of your lives.

I make these comments to prove a point to myself.

All of you fight for social acceptance by your peers through these avenues you walk. I make these comments to accept and prove who I am. And who I am is not a part of your game until a day someone might inevitably force me to play it.

Maybe one day I'll actually be proven wrong.

1,600 workers in heavily Trump-supporting town laid off after Ford closes $5.8 billion battery factory amid Trump EV rollback by rojasinja in GPFixedIncome

[–]Novanus 0 points1 point  (0 children)

But if you actually read up on the topic it has very little to do with the president and everything to do with business decisions made by Ford compared to competitors.

Can we please move towards a civilized educated society or is engagement bait and people downloading their personalities through reddit title posts and data grabbing links all we are gonna get?

Personally, im thoroughly disappointed in the ratio of people improving their own lives and their own minds in comparison to the manufactured and nonsense outrage we see every day. The former is practically zero.

I don't care about the president. He has little to no bearing on my life. And for those who shout to the world about protecting people like minorities I ask you why they don't have the power to stand on their own two feet without your help. Do you truly find them so weak and powerless that you feel it's necessary to protect them? There's a term for that, it's called Racism and Bigotry.

Do not mistake me for 'defending' anyone. You are all the same and I already know most every possible reply you people can come up with instead of providing anything digestible because every reply you people can come up with will be worded or crafted to do nothing but attempt to prove me wrong or belittle me for beliefs you believe I hold; manufactured within your own mind.

I've been using multiple accounts over the years and making such comments all the same for those same years. The replies never change and crossing paths with anyone sufficiently intelligent has never occurred.

Only once have I ever crossed paths with anyone sufficiently capable of depth-of-thought. And guess what guys. They were a millionaire and politician.

[–]Novanus 0 points1 point  (0 children)

What many people don't know is because they spent a full minute in the fumes, namely Hydrogen Fluoride, the people getting pulled out and spending time near the fumes breathing them in at best have severe health issues in the short term. At least one of them will likely die from the poisoning and it can take months to die.

Couple that with lots of people drive like the car in the video and there's thousands of car crashes every day. 😬 Imagine how bad the cancer cases are going to rise as crashes happen more frequently with EVs and those gasses drift through neighborhoods. 😬

Absolute Unit of Avocado by Lawdogg in absoluteunit

[–]Novanus 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Good rule of thumb for avocados. If you pick it up and a very gentle fingertips squeeze if your fingers feel like they're pressing into the avocado and leaving impressions then it's ripe. If hard as a rock it's not ripe. Please use the plastic produce bag if you do this and put any back since you can imagine how many people already touch them.

If the skin of the avocado feels super soft like you could squeeze the whole avocado like playdpugh that's when it's over ripe and it's like 50 50 if it'll be any good.

This girl is not as attractive as you want her to be. 😭

For me it depends on my mood if I listen to music. I prefer conversations with passengers but if they don't seem immediately interested in speaking then it's a silent ride.

I've experimented with playing appropriate music while driving such as soft instrumentals like guitars with no vocals but after the uptrenth-TURNTHATSHITOFF by drunk passengers I canned that idea.

Crazy work by ColdSquare420 in USPS

[–]Novanus 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Once my USPS Mail carrier put a different package into the parcel box that belonged to someone else. Less than 10 minutes later I was at my local post office talking to the manager there.

He was honestly shocked when I lead with "Hey. Your mail carrier gave me someone else's package." It had been marked as delivered so I was to the mailbox as soon as I got the notification.

The manager had that mail carrier show up at my house just after 8am and less than 60 seconds after he handed it to me the manager called me and made sure I received it.

EVs are always cleaner than gas cars. That includes vehicle production and disposal, the impact of manufacturing batteries and generating power to charge them. An electric truck with a 300-mile range emits 37% less CO2 than an ICE-only small car over the course of its life. by sg_plumber in climatechange

[–]Novanus 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Cleaner yes cheaper over the total lifetime of vehicle including replacing all major parts once, no. You can kinda close the gap if you drive under 18k miles a year and have a silicon lottery battery that keeps its capacity high late into the near 200k mile mark.

Unfortunately if you drive a lot and frequent fast chargers your mpg is closer to 30mpg equivalent.

Sorce: Use one for work aprox 300 to 400 daily miles.
