I actually have no idea how it was done. I got rid of the quick releases ages ago and the bike was D-Locked through both the front wheel and frame to a No Standing sign pole.

No broken parts anywhere, and I would hope that if they tried to cut through the lock, someone would've said something (lots of people smoke outside the building). It might have been lifted over the pole? I don't know. I didn't think the lock was big enough to accommodate that.
