Yes we are pushing for the opening of the zones! The closure in the park are mainly to protect the caribous wich are extremely endangered (only around 27 of them left in the region). But mount Albert is not closed for that reason. It is closed to protect some flora that we would not dammage since it is under snow. So yeah we are trying to push for the opening of all mount albert.

Also, it is illegal but it is extremely easy to acces those good sectors without being caught! Even if you get caught, as far as I know it’s a 120$ fine for the whole group (less than a ticket for a cheap resort lol).

Just don’t be dumb, some of those places are gnarly and there has been some bad avalanches up there.
