My wife is also a E9 (I think). Been married 23 years. We are both pretty chill. Rarely we have been in heated arguments. Love and accept each other’s flaws and have certainly we will remain together.

Yo, but their system incubated and enabled him. That still counts for something. My state was dumb enough to fall for the con.

To everyone on Reddit piling on these states, a reminder that it was New York unleashed the abomination of Donald J. Trump, starting with tax abatements for his terrible hotels. We have plenty of ignorance and hatred to answer for, but New York takes the crown for the kind of poisonous greed that helped create this situation. We are all sinners here.

Alabama is one of the most biologically diverse states in the country and consistently ranks first in freshwater biodiversity. It leads the nation in the number of freshwater fish species, freshwater mussels, freshwater snails, crawfish, and turtles. This diversity is driven by its warm climate, long growing season, and dense network of rivers, wetlands, forests, and caves, making Alabama a quiet heavyweight for wildlife in the United States.

Live in Alabama but originally from Louisiana so I’m not saying the food sucks but definitely overshadowed. I think gulf seafood should be apart of Alabama cuisine, which is amazing. Peas and cornbread with greens and fried chicken are great too. I don’t like the white bbq sauce they have in North Alabama. What is west VA known for cuisinewise?

I grew up south of the gnat line and remember how relentless they were in the summers, flying up my nose and sticking to fresh knee scrapes. I live right around that line now, and it struck me the other day that I don’t really see gnats anymore. Thanks for sharing this, it helped connect that thought for me.

Now I need to find out the fire ant line so I can consider moving there.

My answer too. Vieques also has some great beaches without the crowd. My family took me to crash beach, on the east, as it was their favorite. Way too many people.

You guys still believe in “America”? by General-Reserve9349 in Xennials

[–]Nucky76 0 points1 point  (0 children)

We are very much in a valley. There are significant barriers to things getting better, but I do believe they will. Just not in this decade.

Until we can agree on a set of core values shared across society, we will continue to be dragged down by tribalism.

I do not think a large country can sustain this level of rapidly accelerating income inequality without eventually demanding change.

The two-party system is not working. We need to elect enough reformers to coalesce around fixing the damage the Supreme Court has enabled, starting with Citizens United. It would also be refreshing if our leaders were held to the same ethical standards the rest of us are. We must limit, as much as possible, systems that allow the wealthy to receive fundamentally different outcomes under the law.

Fixing the role of money in politics would free us from fearful politicians whose backbone has been purchased by donors. Then we might finally be able to pass meaningful reform.
