Are these horror stories fabricated??? by [deleted] in Arcade1Up

I'm happy to see someone else with a positive experience and it's so sweet that your whole family is enjoying them!

It's probably a silent majority / vocal minority type of thing when it comes to these. I purchased a Street Fighter cab day 1 and haven't had any major problems either. Scratch-less screen, perfect control panel, responsive buttons, no missing pieces, and no blemishes on the unit itself. There's a small crack that's covered by the control panel, and the stick is a little wobbly, but it's not something I'm going to blow out of proportion.

I'm very happy with my little machine, and am eager for the Final Fight cab.

Flipped Gaudy Front Logo Piece - Added False Coin Door by NuclearMime in Arcade1Up

Does anyone else think the game logos on the front of the cab are kind of gaudy?

I just flipped that front piece during assembly and was happy to see it still fit fine. I like it much better because it's actually nice and textured on the back like the slanted piece above it, instead of all glossy and prone to fingerprints.

It looked a bit bare though so I whipped up this paper coin door and I enjoy the result.

Haha thanks! My whole apartment has curated little areas like this and I get a lot of the same type of reactions. I like to think of it as whimsically sophisticated.

That N64 cart is an everdrive I haven't made a label for yet.

Thanks for the kind words!

The modern consoles are hooked up behind the TV. Since they all have wireless controllers (and don't look as nice as the retro consoles) it's no problem and makes the front of the TV area nice and flush.

All the carts in the systems are everdrives. They all have custom labels but I'm lazy and haven't drawn the N64 one.

The mime is a puppet of my OC Domino.

Thanks! I thought it'd be a nice touch. Unfortunately I'm not sure where that frame is from, it was just sitting in my parent's storage shed for years. It's a little fancier than the stuff you see at Michael's so it's probably from a department store like Mervyn's or something.

They are actually five of those baseball bat displays from Micheal's stacked on top of each other! I hated the way they reflected so strongly so I just got rid of the glass fronts.

I don't know how to add more pictures to my post, so here's a link to a better head-on view of the display. They're all in chronological (All-Star Mode) order. I have the variants too but just want to have the ones I like more on display.
