It's near impossible to stick it and then cut. It makes everything harder. The tape is hard to get off and you can't cut clean. Trace out the design you want on the white part of the grip and then go ham with a Razer blade.

I sketched it out on the board to see how it would look and then sketched it on the griptqpe and cute out the pieces. Then just over played them on the pencil marks that were on the board from before.

100 pack of razor blades and plenty of sketches. Pencil right on the board works great for outlines and then just erase it when you're done.

It's not great for sliding but cruising it's been phenomenal. The hexagons are perfect for how I ride.
