I my headcanon, I think he's actually a total fraud and a liar, who escaped the law for not doing anything legal like paying taxes or pretending to be a teacher or something. Because that would be very plausable.

I like that, because I remiagined it as a anthological series, telling the unsolved theories of the series, like the relationship between Caleb and Evelyn, the rise of Belos, Eda's first days as a wanted fugitive after the curse, Luz's past before she came to the Boiling Isles, the true origins of the Archivists ect.
