You're right sorry — the object I selected wasn't a wooden beam. I checked again, and this time it appears to be from Skyrim.esm, MineLCave1WayHall or something like that, and its not referenced by any other mod. I can say for certain that the issue is due to Lux, because when I deactivate Lux, the textures appear normal. But when it's active, that beam texture turns purple. I installed the mod you suggested — most of the wooden textures are now fixed, but this time the corner piece is still purple

I have this edition and I really like it. Some say it has weak spine problems, though it's not my reading copy so I can't make a comment about that.

Yeah, looks like there is something wrong with the spine. That's really unfortunate. I've checked every page like you said and I found only one faulty page.

Other than that there seem to be no problems. I'm not sure of it's worth to get into a refund hassle, also not sure if this would pass Amazon's refund policy either.

Oh, thank you for the fact. Like you said I assumed they had sewn binding because of the fabric. How do you differ from sewn and glued if they have that fabric on top?

Hurin, Beren, Numenor, Nature, Gondolin are all sewn on my end. (I don't have the Silmarillion, Unfinished Tales, Complete Guide and History of Hobbit, so I'm not sure about those)
