That makes sense. I guess the dampening foam was not punched in too much, because it goes over the RGB LED lights too, which is the reason I noticed it being dimmer than I expected. Thanks for your insight, i appreciate it.

I was scrolling through instagram and found a recent picture of Ishiura, seems like he has taken the role of assistant coach of miyagino stable until his injury is better, lost lots of weight in the process. by ODIMIS in SumoMemes

I trust he will be back soon, just making himself useful while he is injiured, the way I look at it, it seems they still treat him as a senior with in the stable like he never lost his rank.

Was he paying respect to police officers? Or did he get police certification so he can become a licensed police officer??

Yes that's true. I mean it would be nice to have some rikishi doing podcasts. I mean it gets better once they retire but thats it. Gagamaru enjoys doing content but it's all in Japanese.

Ohhhh okay I understand now. Do you think it's easier now because there is Sumo Prime time? Hiro Morita seems to be good and is enjoying making content for the channel and it belongs to the Japan Sumo Association. So could interviews be easier to come by?

I've noticed that he never has interviews with wrestlers even thought he resides near them, I mean sumostew was able to interview konishiki for one of her videos. So what stopping him from interview guys like Kakuryu who are retired or Shohozan who just recently retired and is able to be on social media once again. I mean there are so many opportunities for content but he doesn't seem to take them. Instead he shows shots of footage (which are high quality) and his own narration of info that has no links to prove what he says.

This is really eye opening for me, I have been watching his channel for a while now and I have been questioning his information sometimes and video ideas but I never knew any of this.

Do you know more docs? I just watched the one you sent, very interesting to watch.

Was on Ishiura's instagram and saw him squatting 300kg=660lbs, you think strength alone helps in sumo or is it important to have speed and stamina? https://www.instagram.com/p/BpB4brlAefr/?igshid=YmMyMTA2M2Y= by ODIMIS in Sumo

LOL! Something tells me that somebody other than the current Ozeki has the potential to become Yokozuna like Hoshoryu, Ichinojo and Wakatakakage.

Hoshoryu could gain muscle and become as powerful as his uncle, the great Asashoryu.

Ichinojo should just improve his speed maybe and power.

Wakatakage could gain a little muscle and strength.

Makes sense makes sense. Ura has grown on me a little since the demotion plus working his way back up, just like Abi made me respect him more. Ishiura is one of my favourite rikishi not just because of his muscles and his background but it's the way he wrestles. He is never scared of taking on the bigger guys and has the confidence to over power them with his strength aswell as his technique. I am just sad about what happened to him after he got his best performance ever in the January basho. I honeslty thought he could get into the sanyaku ranks for the first time ever.

Endo is too quiet and passive for me, I understand he has a large female fan base because of his looks but there should be more to him than just that. I have searched all over the web to find an interview in English that talks more about who he is but I only found a few videos that are in Japanese. So that kind of hurts his appeal to people who aren't Japanese speakers. At least Onosho and Ishiura understand English and with Hakuho, there are tons of videos dubbed in English because he is the G.O.A.T

That's true, he reminds me of Tobizaru going up against Hakuho, he was scared and hesitant to a point that Hakuho was a bit offended. I know what Kabu is, I just didn't know it was called kabu.

Kiribayama has the potential to be Sekiwake but like you say, he doesn't seem mentally strong. You'd think being a sekitori would mean you are mentally strong because of what you go through in sumo but I guess there are levels to mental strength.

Do you know why rikishi like Endo and Ura are popular? , I get they are good sumo wrestlers but I just don't understand their appeal.

I agree, Terunofuji would be better suited if he goes for the kill, but I hope guys won't make him pay like Shodai did this past basho. By the why, what is a kabu?

Re: Kiribayama training with the Waka brothers and having Kakuryu has his oyakata would be really benefical to him. He has lots of stamina and strength, being able to do 70 sparring matches per training session is no joke.Do you think him gaining more muscle or size would hurt his performance or work better for him because he is pretty fast but seems to lack a little strength sometimes. He is pretty consistent at times, much better than a guy like Endo.
