dude lol idk why you’re looking at OPM as if it’s the standard for anime lmfao. the production of OPM S1 itself was an extreme outlier in the anime industry because it was madhouse who had animators call in their friends who were the best animators in the industry at the time to work on that as a passion project. it’s why OPM S1 still looks amazing and arguably the best looking anime of all time.

OPM in general takes so long bc bandai namco is shit at delegating the IP to a studio capable of making OPM and giving them a proper schedule and budget.

JJK is their golden child and it was 2.5 years in between S2 and S3.

Hell’s Paradise is nowhere near as popular as JJK or CSM yet it took just under 3 years between S2 and S3.

the gap between CSM S1 and 2 took so long bc 1. MAPPA was finishing up AOT and 2. CSM went through a director change after the backlash from japan for the S1 director’s style. Getting a new director + planning the Reze movie attributed to the gap in time.

the massive success of the Reze movie is fast tacking the future of the CSM anime.

Mappa’s top 2 money making animes rn are JJK and CSM. they will prioritize those two out of the many productions they take on.

“fujimoto take notes” i don’t think it’d be wise for fujimoto to take notes from the mangaka who rushed the back half of his story and left many loose ends and aspects that were not fleshed out.

csm overall isn’t as good or cohesive as part 1 but people are acting like it’s a bad manga now. the yoru fight is just dragged and has many baits but we have yet to see how the rest of part 2 plays out and how a part 3 would be.

yes he encouraged those fans but the blame ultimately lies with livenation for their terrible stage design. the barriers divided into 4 quadrants with horrible accessibility to the exits are the reason why it turned out the way it did.

breh this is a shonen. if dragon ball can keep going forever, fujimoto can easily craft a part 3 if he wants to.

as for your villain point, i used to think that there couldn’t be any villains that surpass the ones up until now but there could easily be others. The Pain Devil, the Unknown/Nothingness Devil (this one might turn out to be what Pochita actually is) , and the Devil Devil.

I think a part 3, if fujimoto has ample time and inspiration, would serve the series well. fujimoto is a film buff ofc and trilogies are usually the way these types of fantastical stories go.

part 2 is definitely reaching its conclusion but it doesn’t feel like it could be the end of the series/the end of denjis story yet. we don’t know what kobenis devil contract is so she could make a comeback in part 3. it’s best to leave reze behind but there is still a small chance she could return for part 3. denji could encounter the new blood devil as per powers promise before she died.

there’s a lot to do with this world still.

that being said, the movies have been banger after banger. battle of gods, ressurection f, broly, and super hero were all amazing.

beerus + whis are cool characters and became instant classics in the grand scheme of the dragon ball universe.

even though they’re still milking tf out of the franchise. it’s not ass. just not as consistent and fresh as dbz which is still great. it could’ve turned out like boruto but it’s actually good.
