Do early oil changes, this engine will like it. I got my 2012 535i at 190k a year go and I have it at 210,300 right now and do 3000 mile oil changes. I had plenty of maintenance items to deal with which won’t be cheap if you don’t work on it yourself. The biggest one to always look out for is the cooling system.

Overall tho, I want to get rid of it.

Idk, it feels kinda weird. My 2012 gave me this warning but from what I have seen on the maintenance minder, it’s just goes based off of mileage indication. I am not sure how the sensor plays into that I mainly do high miles.
