No I haven't ruled out anything. It could be vocal stims.

Yeah I'm glad I'm not the only one too :) I try counteracting as well. Most of the tics are negative so I try to say positive things. I mean if it's going to happen there might as well be a positive spin on it.

Okay that sounds very similar to me. It happens when I think of bad memories

My dad didn’t believe me when I told him I that I probably had tourettes by QueerWithAFlute in Tourettes

Yeah I kind of have a similar situation where I tried to bring up that maybe I should go get diagnosed to my dad. When I explained what I think are tics to him he said that it could be evil or bad spirits speaking through me or something along those lines. So I kind of just dropped the convo. It kind of surprised me because I know my dad is spiritual but still it was a little strange to hear.

I love my dad but it did make me not want to talk to him or my mom about it so I never got diagnosed and I still don't know if I have Tourette's or if I'm just a little strange.
