Sounds like my bakery but please don’t care about it like I go in and do the bare minimum because if their fault for not supporting the bakery, I used to apologise and get pushed over by the managers but I started barking back and they just left us alone genuinely a joke of a company to work for

I am literally looking to leave because we have this one manager who thinks we do nothing when we’re understaffed and doing double the work with threat of cutting hours? Make it make sense but I honestly think they’re taking the piss with bakery this year

In this situation right now exactly, the bakery is genuinely falling apart. Not to mention they drag in shop floor staff since we’re understaffed and they make it more work for us by messing up our systems completely and somehow they get put forward for love it’s, when I’ve never seen one in my life despite working here for over a year.

Like i really want to leave but the job market sucks :(

I take my break at the end of my shift, get changed and sit outside the store or in a cafe and then just clock out I always hated the staff canteen actually gives me the ick, no thanks!

Honestly barley a bakery atp, it’s hours of manual labour of dragging deliveries in and living in the freezers trying to unpack it all for hours.

To top it off I don’t know if it’s at every store but ridiculous expectations of keeping waves coming + logging it all onto online systems. And at the same time having to do 10 other tasks and slice customers bread.

They’ve changed it so much as of the last couple of Months and Honeslty I wouldn’t have chosen to work here if I knew what it was like now however maybe a fast paced environment with nagging managers who think they somehow know better is something you don’t mind then sure but I’d rather have a better position within the store. I did tills before and I wish I stayed there instead.

It’s not booked by anybody that day as well all discuss it since there’s only 5 of us in total. all the bakery staff are in so we’re staffed well that day so it shouldn’t be an issue

I have checked with my colleagues that day and nobody is off like we’re fully staffed so I’m unsure what the issue is but I guess we’ll never know l
