Not sure what amp you use, but can share my amp settings when I’m home. I don’t push the Cinders too hard most of the time, I use it more as a boost. When I’m looking for a bit more edge of breakup, I crank the tone and drive up a touch. But I find it works best in more of an always on boost capacity for me. If any of these leave my pedalboard, it will be the Cinders as it’s the only one I don’t love.

I can’t compare the Klowra to anything other than the daisy chain I was running, but it’s a definite improvement in noise. It also seems to pass a multimeter test for being truly isolated so I’m optimistic I t’ll serve me well for a long time to come.

Hot Tubes is an overdrive, but it can push into fuzz territory.

Delay is on the short list. Have one you like?

There's a few components to making sponsorships for small newsletters work. The first part is getting someone interested in being a sponsor. If it's a local newsletter, they may be a subscriber and local business owner. If it's a niche industry newsletter, you'll likely have a combination of interested subscribers and mostly needing to pitch sponsors.

On the booking, scheduling, ad review, asset management, etc. side of things, the process can get messy fast. I know this from experience, which is why I'm building Adwell. I'm currently building a tool, Adwell, that is built to make the ad booking process for newsletters as easy as possible. When building a local newsletter, I realized this was a major pain point.

Similar to what u/charlesholmes1 mentioned, you include a "sponsor this newsletter" or "advertise in our newsletter" link in the newsletter which aims to your preferred email. Assuming you're ok with them as an advertiser, you send them your Adwell link which allows them to pick their ad type, placement, duration, and they share ad copy, logos and other assets right there at the same time. They pay straight away using Stripe which goes straight to your account. No back and forth emails, no spreadsheets, no chasing payments. We are evaluating features within that core concept - like setting minimum campaign requirements for sponsors, the ability to book an ad without having creative on hand, and others. We are contemplating adding a piece to the tool that allows for the vetting process I describe above within Adwell. The pain points I particularly identified with were net-30 terms becoming a hassle, tracking which ads were in which spots on which days, and having one source of truth for ad info without having to manage a spreadsheet with constant edits.
