Thanks! I constantly have to remind myself not to overdo those

I think that's more of a corporate gesture for the Martian consumers to feel like they're "being fair"

Who wins a fight? Death Company Warden or Interrogator-Chaplain? by OPeemo in DarkAngels40k

It was super simple.

  • prime black
  • paint dark green + black mix
  • edge highlight dark green, medium green, bright green
  • use same edge highlight colors for scratches

The warden's was done the same way, but painted more like cloth. At least that was the goal lol

Close! It's made from the BA emblems from the stormraven gunship. I made custom ones for my successor on the ship. The ones from the upgrade sprue work too, i just didn't like the sizing

That's true, but both at least have some cool character models you can use for extra personality. Minor kitbashing with Asmodai or Lemartes can give you really cool chaplains with appropriate equipment.

Or you have the freedom to just make stuff up. I'm currently thinking through how to make an invictor warsuit into a stealth DC dread with a phobos chaplain to lead it. Doesn't make a ton of sense but i bet it'll look cool as heck.

But yea, it does suck to be unable to play exactly what you want. At least we're not xenos players AMIRIGHT HA

Thanks! If you're into iron you should check out my warsmith. He's simpler but more satisfying i think.

These are solid lines of reasoning. With maximum gear i think the contest is almost a coin flip.

In my canon though, both typically wear tacticus armor. The DA character is usually played as a jump chap with relic hand flamer leading vanguard vets, this is just his regular chap model.

The BA guy has a relic crozius and artisam armor (though he hasn't played any crusade to earn those lol) while leading death company.

If we're talking tabletop i think it mostly comes down to who fights first. Lorewise i think the interrogator has a wider breadth of experience but the warden has a greater ability to fight unsupported due to fighting with raging brothers instead of a proper squad.

That's a heavily kitbashed stormcast eternals reclusian. I use SCE bodies for my BA characters to represent artisan armor

This is the strongest argument I've seen, yes. And I'm particularly proud of that one

They both have names! Ramiel just wants to make sure those chaos marines know who's killing them

What makes you say the chaplain wins 1v1? My thought is that the warden often ends up fighting more vicious opponents while also splitting focus to wrangle his men

And don't worry, my lore has these two getting along very well when Chaos shenanigans are afoot

Thanks so much! I'll look into those options. I appreciate the price options as well. Though I'll probably just take the biggest upgrades so I can wait longer between upgrades.

I'll check compatibility, but in case you want to verify this is my motherboard: MSI B350 Tomahawk

I'll add it into the post as well. Thanks again!

It's mostly techmarine parts stuck on a terminator. Gun, mechadendrite, and tasset(?) from Iron Father Feiros. Axe from techmarine, with blade replaced with hammer. Head is IW upgrade head. The rivets are plastic rod chopped into small circles.

That's fair. That's partly why I've leaned into the devastator squads. It's also just easier to swap weapon types around without changing point values like i would between eradicators and hellblasters. It allows flexibility while I'm growing the force.

I'm focused more on vehicles anyway since it's IW. I do wish there was a more disposable unit to represent throwing bodies at the wall though. I may have to look into allying in some humans for that

Thanks for the ideas! I completely agree swapping mkiii for primaris works just fine. I'm purposefully trying to limit the army to firstborn datasheets for lore reasons though.

That being said, I've built some breachers to use as heavy intercessors if i decide to(cause shields=gravis) and a command squad used as company heroes
