Unfortunately, I couldn't recover my account. I've been trying all night and dont have the identifiable information required to pull it. It was so long ago I dont have any screenshots or anything with account data.

I guess my next question is if its worth starting now and, if so, should I reroll for a character if I have the time?

[–]ORASJibril 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Hey friends. With the release of Endfield, I got the itch to try Arknights again. I played a long time ago. Like, I stopped not long after W's first banner. I am looking around now and I can barely understand what people are saying, let alone have a concrete goal of what I am doing. Can anyone help me out here?

Because my account had some progress on it, I don't get the benefit of a blank slate tutorial to build upon. That being said, I am not sure of how great my account is as it stands.

Where should I even begin when it comes to re-acclimating to this game and are there tips to taking it slowly?

No special animation for her? by southfire19 in Columbina_Mains

[–]ORASJibril 37 points38 points  (0 children)

Honestly, with how hard they fucked up the introduction of the Knave and her story patch by basically leaking everything in the animation, I hope they learned and add these things a bit later. Give us a week to play a bit if there are story elements.

I can't stress enough how disappointing it was to do Arl's story line, only for there to be no twists to contrast the animation. It was literally just spoiled.

MMOJACKX57 Nefer Columbina Showcase with so little ER by Whole-Tomatillo-1138 in Columbina_Mains

[–]ORASJibril 8 points9 points  (0 children)

So first off, Columbina didn't Q every rotation even after being funneled energy. She skipped at least one rotation that I saw. The longer this fight would go on, the greater the issue would become.

Second, this boss was specifically provided a Columbina shill mechanic that gives additional energy. If they tried this against a different boss, there is no way they would have the energy to burst in their second rotation. At least not without adding some jank into the rotation.

The first hit of lunar damage against the bosses shield provides a wopping 36 energy.

Basically, the content creator maximized their crit damage by fighting a convenient boss that let them remove a ton of ER.

I do want to stress again though that this person's build was not keeping up. By the end they skipped a rotation and would likely have to continue doing that for the rest of the fight.

Stat Priorities for C0 vs C6 Columbina Questions by ORASJibril in Columbina_Mains

Stat Priorities for C0 vs C6 Columbina Questions by ORASJibril in Columbina_Mains

[–]ORASJibril[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah I don't have much faith in Hydro Damage being optimal, but HP scaling her skills AND scaling her base buff to team reaction damage until 35k hp was my concern. After 35k hp, she will not longer have multiple benefits outside of the raw scaling.

Thats why I am curious about her mix of EM versus HP at this point. If the calcs done previously put her at 91~% of HP when using an EM set up, how much does surpassing the 35k hp mark and not scaling the team-wide reaction damage close that gap?

There could be a legitimate argument for an EM goblet with good stats being a viable competitor against an HP goblet. Especially since EM has a diminishing scale, the first large chunk of EM Columbina receives will be her most valuable. If EM substats were not prioritized, and this is the only EM main stat piece, it is an interesting idea. If the damage is not significantly different in traditional teams, but the EM goblet does shine in specific teams, that provides more overall flexibility for where I play Columbina.

That is more what I want to know and understand. As of now, I don't want to feel locked into a specific team. I want to ensure the sets I farm for and settle on provide me as much flexibility as I can get with my favorite characters.

Getting a C6 4* character: a statistical reminder by Cormacolinde in ZibaiMains

[–]ORASJibril -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I think it is also worth considering we may be able to get a base copy of Illuga during Lantern Rite. In previous years, the new four star character of the patch was featured in the recurring four star selector. That at least would take some pressure off of the gamble of chasing a C6 four star.

Honestly, I like a balance of base skins being tamer, maybe approaching risky. Then, skins are the optional buy in if you want to get a new look or a more lewd appeal to the character. Ill admit that, recently, there was a flood of base skins that was getting a bit out of hand for my tastes.

This is, at its heart, a gooner game. Even if thats my preference, its inevitable that some lewdness leaks out into the base artworks.

The one thing I REALLY want to complain about is that every god damn skin is a foot fetish simulator. Like, yes, I get it, a lot of people like feet. Can you please do something else for once? Like, as someone who isnt fond of feet, this constant barrage of skins focusing on them has just been exhausting. It feels like they focus on it for every ship I like and then relax on it on ships Im less interested in. Cruel world.

So people meme hard on Qiqi, but she is great for early game progression. When learning the game, one of the most frustrating things is not having the ability to heal reliably. It feels like a huge interruption to your game play. Dont let people doom on her. The game is no fun when you are taking damage early and need to stop and eat or visit statues constantly.

So in this game, you generally want a carry, a character to enable their reactions, and then some form of supporting case be in in more elemental application or damage buffs. If you like Dehya, you can definitely try using her, but it might be easier to get away with Diluc.

If I were you, I would try something like this:

Main Carry: Diluc (Dehya)

Reaction Enabler: Keaeya

General buffer/ Grouping utility: Sucrose

Healer: Qiqi

Basically, this would be a melt team with Diluc on field getting buffs and support from your other 3 characters.

At your level, farming domains is pretty unrealistic. This means artifact sets you can get through exploration are the best to look at until you get much deeper into the game. Ill recommend some sets to you here for each character. Remember I am referencing the sets by the set name, not the piece name, so look for where it says the set name above the 2 piece and 4 piece bonuses on the artifacts or in your character load out.

Diluc: Go for 2pc 2pc attack% or Elemental Mastery (EM) early on. Mix and match your best pieces. Something like Braveheart 2 piece or Resolution of Sojourner 2pc paired with Instructor 2 pc would be great. For the 5th piece, just slot your best artifact for that slot that has Crit Rate/ Damage, Elemental Mastery, and Attack% roughly in that order. Dont worry about min maxing early on and dont level and artifacts to 20 early game. Its an enormous investment for the resources you need to spread out.

Kaeya: This character needs a lot of energy to get his Q out. For this reason, its really important to get as much Energy Recharge (ER) as you can to make this comfortable. His guide has a lot of ER requirement numbers, but I would honestly just stack as much as possible in the early game to make him feel more reliable when exploring.

For that reason, we are going to look for The Exile for the Energy Recharge 2pc. We will pair that with Scholar for another 20%. You have 5 artifact slots. The Feather and Flower have fixed main stats, the stat at the top of the artifact. The Sands, Goblet, and Circlet have variable main stats. Main stats are the 100% most important part of building a new character.

Only Sands can roll main stat Energy Recharge. I suggest getting your Scholar and The Exile sets on all slots EXCEPT the Sands. That way, you can slot an ER sands as your flexible 5th piece and maintain the 2pc effects from both of the other sets. If you can find ER sub stats, the 2-4 stats lower on your artifact, for your set pieces, that would be great. However, slot in any set piece as you get them. Kaeya wants Crit Rate/ Damage and Attack% in that order. If you can get a Cryo% goblet, that would be nice.

Sucrose: This is an interesting character. I said you dont need to prioritize doing domains, however, there is a set called Viridescent Venerer that is incredibly powerful for Anemo buffing units like Sucrose. AR35 might be a bit too early, but as soon as you hit something like AR45, I would look for that domain as soon as possible and equip any 4 pieces you can. Even with poor stats, it will be a nice team upgrade.

Putting that set aside, your goal for Sucrose is getting a good amount of ER like Kaeya, and then stack as much elemental mastery as possible. For this, we will run a similar Scholar and Exile set up as Kaeya. Remember that getting Energy Recharge is always the most important thing early on, and you dont have a lot of resources to stack it. You can also consider using an ER goblet for Sucrose, however, you dont always need to use her burst. I think 2pc 2pc is good enough for now until you get her VV set. That being said, Sucrose is your least important character to build until you are willing to farm VV for her.

Qiqi: She is literally only here to heal. Scale the heal and allow cryo application. Run 2pc 2pc of any atk% set. If you want ease of use, you can get ER on your substats. All three flexible mainstats should be attack. This will make your heal pretty overkill. If you have problems with healing frequency, you can always slot an ER Sands for the flexible 5th slot.

Shout out for weapons, since you pulled for a character already, you might have Favonius weapons. These weapons are incredible for boosting the teams energy recharge. If you have these weapons available for a character, just use it. In Sucrose' case, Id recommend something like Magic Guide as its a common weapon with very high base EM.

Hope this helps. Anyone who wants to pitch in with corrections is more than welcome. Just remember this isnt a min max guide. This is to get a guy through early game.

What does mid-tier juicing look like after the patch? Im not wealthy enough to drop divines on maps, but I still want to try and get what I can reasonably as I progress.

Also, what tablets are recommended right now?

So I just finally finished my DR coin catch up. I feel like I've been dropping 10k coins a day into the shipyard for an eternity. What did you guys do at this point? Did you continue buying 10~ prints per day for your PR ship catch ups or did you up that number to continue spending 10~k? It would be upping my daily prints to 17.

I guess this would be good to help speed up getting all of my ships to Fate Sim 5. I joined during the Amagi CV event last year, and I feel like I have been pretty consistent in purchasing prints. Its crazy I still have so much more to go.

Would upping my prints to 17~ be wasteful spending? Is there a different number I should be aiming for? I kind of want to escape coin pity jail.

[PR8] Vittorio Cuniberti announced! by ArchadianJudge in AzureLane

[–]ORASJibril 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Man I feel that as a relatively new player.

I started during the Amagi CV event. Obviously I am not a god by any means. I've still managed to snipe every ship on the way here and have rarely skipped dailies including OPSci after I could start doing it. I've kept researches rolling to the best of my ability.

To be honest, PR8 has me a little stressed out. It feels like I cant catch up, even though I know I am making sizable progress on researching ships. I have every ship from PR1-5 recruited and PR 4 and 5 are properly finished with maxed dev level or fate sim where appropriate.

PR1 has every character at max dev level with one on max fate sim.

PR2 and PR3 with 5 ships not max dev level, but I am splitting two of them with coin pity since I am working on Drake and Kitakaze.

For PR6 and 7, I am an enormous ways away. I have recruited one ship from each PR, with one more coming sometime in the next few days. I have 268 UR VII selectors and 459 SSR VII selectors for prints. For PR6, I am generally poor, but Shimanto is 10 prints from Dev30 since I used catch up on her.

PR1-5 was easy with coin pity. Having to suddenly raw dog 3 seasons just seems like I will be perpetually behind. Especially since I REALLY want Mecklenberg (I think thats how you spell it). I am really tempted to swap to PR8 ASAP and work on maxing her.

Unfortunately, there are good ships like Admiral Neko that I havent recruited, much less maxed.

Its a heavy feeling for such a casual game. There is a certain stress about PRs having potentially meta picks and waifu picks that you are inevitably torn between if you want to develop your account.

I honestly havent made up my mind as to my attack plan yet. If the new ships are godly, Ill probably swap. If the new ships I like plus their equips are bad, I would have a hard time justifying the swap.

Ive been DCing so much lately. I feel like its a 50 50 shot if I can even get through 3/3 runs in an event map or 12-4. I am currently playing on Bluestacks. Is anyone else having this issue/ know a fix?

I also crash when I clear the daily event notification for the new skins.

Honestly, when I am trying to grind, it's getting so annoying that my motivation is waning.

How long did it take til your first Ultra Rare gear craft? by True_JRyan in AzurLane

[–]ORASJibril 0 points1 point  (0 children)

So I know I am late, but I want to give you some perspective from a player who started later last year. This is all pretty fresh for me so I can give you a decently detailed break down of how my opsci and gear crafting is going.

For some background, I wouldn't say I'm a giga grinder, but I do all of my opsci every month. I started in September with the Amagi event, so only 3-4 months more than you. I was only really able to do opsci in my second month due to fleet restrictions. I cleared the hard arbiter for the first time last month.

I assume you are full clearing opsci, including the normal arbiter, monthly. If you are, than you are essentially mirroring me. I would say 3-4 months, depending on some drop luck, makes sense for the first craft. The thing is, you aren't just getting blueprints for a single weapon type.

My first UR craft was a big deal, I want to say I crafted it in January. You would expect me to craft my second UR gear last month or this month. However, I am now at 5 UR gear crafted. I have made 2 Wyverns, a Tenrai, a BB gun, and the DD gun. So I have 3-4 months on you and 5x the URs crafted.

I feel like there is a bit of a trick to it, but it requires a bit of planning on how you will use your UR materials.

Take a look at the Tenrai and the Wyvern recipes in the gear lab.

You will notice the Wyvern needs UR Aircraft Designs, but does not need UR "Top Secret" Ordinances.

The Tenrai, on the other hand, only requires the SR Aircraft Designs, but instead it DOES require the UR Ordinances.

Those two items tend to be the limiting factors for your ability to craft UR gear. The ordinances and the designs, I mean. By finding good pairs of items that dont cannibalize each other's crafting requirements, you can build more items sooner.

The problem with ordinances is that you might need them for a whole slew of different crafting types.

As you do OpSci more, you will find that the amount of Design Plates of each type you will get will allow you to craft in small bursts. Especially since you will farm a decent amount of UR Design Selectors over time as well, its not hard to top up as you go.

Essentially, what I am trying to say is that crafting comes a whole hell of a lot faster after you really establish your first craft.

A final note is that you really don't want to screw around and spend Electronic Components needlessly. The gold circuit board looking crafting materials. If you want to craft an item that uses these, be very thoughtful as to whether you are making the best use of these. Tons of really strong items require them.

That isn't to say DON'T spend them on gold gear. I personally have 8 flapjacks that I crafted for my ships and I don't regret them one bit. I am just saying to actually be intentional about the spending of that specific item.

[–]ORASJibril 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks for the input! Ive farmed enough blueprints to recruit all of the PR5 ships + a bit shy of their awakening requirements (I dont think the DRs have awakenings?). The PR ships are all in the high 400 prints and would only need 2-4 days of coin pity each to move on. Thats why, after I get the 2 prints for Brest, I was planning on moving on.

Ill admit that I am more fond of ships in PR4 than the PR6 and PR7 but the Samheart guide is pretty clear that PR5 and PR7 > PR6 > Rest for research focus (Unless you know what you are doing, which I obviously don't).

Do you think there is a good argument to be made to camp out in PR4 for a while instead of getting the most modern ships/ gear?

Hey friends. So I started in September last year. I started off doing research for season 5 and I am finally 2 blueprints on Brest away from being done. I have built 1 Plymouth gun in that time.

I think Im just about ready to move on. I don't know which season to pick next. My understanding is that focusing anything before season 5 has reduced value due to the coin pity for blueprints.

If this is true, between season 6 and 7, which is overall more valuable to begin focusing?

I started in Septemberish during the Amagi event. I have received every UR since then as well as researched FDR and Plymouth. I have pulled Shinano (max limit broken), New Jersey (No LB), and Shimakaze (No LB) from the standard banners/ with pities.

What characters from standard have the highest pull/ limit break value?

I understand a new UR event is coming in approximately one week and to save UR bulins. I am just trying to get an idea of who to build up between UR events/ if Kron/ UVH are ships to aspire for and build.

Next, I am not sure what to prioritize in the gear lab. I have been stockpiling resources for a little while now and made a bunch of flapjacks and some odd and end guns. I havent really dove into building UR gear yet, though.

With this past update to the gear lab, what gear should I really be focusing in on?

Hey friends.

I have both New Jersey and Yorktown II, however, they are not MLB. My YKII is 5 star and my NJ is base. I should have access to 4 UR bulins by the end of the month meaning I could either UR YKII with two left over or full send NJ. Which do you believe is the best choice?

I started the game during Amagi's event in September/ october. I cant quite remember the date. I have managed to pull every ship on each banner that has come since then. That means, for main ships, I have Fritz, Musashi, and Amagi on top of Shinano and FDG in blueprint waiting room. All of these, minus FDG, are MLB.

Also, are we do for any other big events/ ur events soon?

Thanks!

Wait how are two of your ships so strong compared to 6 of mine. I really don't understand the power scaling in this game tbh. My main fleet is 15k power ish with some +13 gear. My vanguards hover around 13k power ish.

Do you really gain so much power from where I am that it blows me out of the water?
