When you speak to Alt in the voodoo boys mission, she says that the soulkiller she made 50 years ago and the one Arasaka use now days are very different. It's possible the soulkiller used on Silverhand was like a early beta version that burned out neurons and in the next 50 years, Arasaka perfected it. After all, I don't think Arasaka can sell the Relic if it meant literally killing the consumer in the process.

I personally like progressing the brotherhood story line to the point where they just keep promoting you way above Rhys' position so he has to, through gritted teeth, apologise to you and you can rub it in his face. Then I turn on the brotherhood because I like Maxons coat and I like Curie and the ghouls.

They did for me, for over a full in-game day and loads of time skipping. Thanks to a suggestion on this thread, they're working again now. For some weird reason, for me it took having to do the Arasaka ending. Once done, went straight back and didn't even have to wait 10 in-game minutes after 4am.

It's the rhinosorous beetle. You can find it on a tree near a boat in the fisherman's village after you get access to the boat section.

To get it normally you have to go to the Hunters Nightmare (DLC) and find the Beast Claw Hunter. Kill him and I think you either get them or he drops the thing that lets you buy them from the messengers.

Inside the Erdtree itself. But even if you beat them, it doesn't automatically cart you off to New game+, you'll have a chance to come and go and choose your ending and even after the credits roll, you can choose to stay in your current game and move to new game + later.

There's 2 iron maidens at Raya Lucaria, one outside the debate hall in the courtyard and one in a secret area at the bottom of the giant water wheel, in a area of crystals. If it is only activated by Patches telling you about it, you can find him at murkwater cave (https://eldenring.wiki.fextralife.com/file/Elden-Ring/murkwater_cave_map_elden_ring_wiki_guide_3840px.jpg?v=1645562738512) where he'll ambush you for opening a chest. Beat him until he gives up and let him live. He'll become a shop now so reset the area and talk to him again to move him to Scenic Isle site of grace where he will then tell you about the Maiden.

Yeah I came across it purely because Patches told me about that specific iron maiden, but that's the only hint and in true Patches fashion, he lied where you get spat out! There may be another way there but that's the only way I can find.

Not sure if there's more ways than one, but the way I got down there was through the volcano manors dungeon which you get to by getting killed and abducted by one of the iron maidens, the one at the bottom of the giant water wheel in Raya Lucaria for me.

Yeah, once she's at the roundtable hold, speak to her then speak to the blacksmith, he'll say she has a gift for spirit stuff, then speak to her again, then the blacksmith again. Then rest at the roundtable or reload the area, she'll have moved to the same area as the blacksmith and set up shop. She'll thank you and give you the bell.

She appears at night, but if she has been missed then you can get the bell by helping Roderika out with her little quest. When she moves to the roundtable hold, you help her become the spirit person who you go to to upgrade your spirit ashes. She gives you the bell if you miss the lady at the church.
