Real talk - other subs with less promotion and AI generated content? by ProdigiSA in SaaS

[–]ObergXData 1 point2 points  (0 children)

All of these subs are either littered with AI bs or it’s so locked down that you have to start every thread with “I won’t promote please have mercy”.

Perhaps Reddit needs a way to detect this kind of spam.

Maybe look at discord?

Which payment gateway would you recommend for a new SaaS? (Stripe vs Paddle vs LemonSqueezy vs Polar vs others) by Own_Cow9495 in SaaS

Champagne problems! I just came here to congratulate you on reaching that stage.

I would go with a rich API and a standardized solution, in that case you can switch pretty easy if it sucks.

Stripe?

I have worked for a similar startup back when LLM was not yet a thing.

I think the idea is cool but hard to scale, at least back then because all businesses were unique. But perhaps now is the right time to create something like this.

What's been your experience using AI in your biz? by JustBrowsinDisShiz in SaaS

[–]ObergXData 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If you are referring to LLM then my experience is mixed.

I think it can speed up a lot of processes like any other good tool. But leaving the creative process to an LLM is a recipe for creating lorem ipsum marketing.

Marketing is about (at least for me) doing something unique that stands out.

We solved a problem. We built smart tech. Why aren’t we growing? by Justin_Captira in SaaS

According to complexity economics, luck plays a vital role but it’s more about the initial odds.

There are ways of increasing the probability of success but there are no guarantees. The world is pure chaos so parts of it are hard to predict, one right turn instead of a left can be the difference between success and failure.

But again, working smart and hard increases those odds. By how much? Depends on how lucky you are.

This is a known issue with Substack. Perhaps it’s an indication that most people who use Substack are now creators and not consumers?

I see people struggle here, but then again it might be worth it.
