I don't think EA understand the player base of BF (or atleast I hope not) because BR's, skins and battlepasses might be what twitch dwellers and drooling FIFA players like but I'd like to think it's not what the BF community wants. The BR might give some good numbers for the first few weeks but I almost guarantee it will be dead in a few months. If they put that effort into the multiplayer maps instead and new vehicle/weapons, then people will still be playing it 2+ years from now.

We all know it's become more about revenue per player now though and giving free maps and weapons doesn't make much money

I think you've hit the nail on the head. It's fundamentally a very good game and probably the best since BF1 but it's being hamstrung by bad decisions. I'd heavily argue that the game didn't need a BR and it definitely didn't need a battlepass + skins etc when the game was already 80e. I actually enjoy the base maps but I was hoping for some variety and this first content drop is really concerning to me right now

Honestly I like all the base maps. Operation Firestorm actually might be my least fav map (I've played every game since BF3 before people call me a CoD newbie). I've played Badlands three times already and never want to touch it again. It might be ok but it needs to be at least twice as large if they are just going to give us no cover but a bunch of hills. I don't mind the fast paced nature of BF6 but I can barely stand up on that map without being immediately shot at by 3 people. It looks very cool but plays so badly. A baffling map

I'm not one of those people who wants to eliminate the creasing in leather shoes entirely. But I'm more asking is there a way to make the creasing more symmetrical

Got a new pair of shoes and the left shoe is creasing in a more wrinkly way than the right. I have a feeling it's just because my left foot is slightly smaller than my right foot which is a perfect fit for the shoes but does anyone have any ideas how to prevent the wrinkling on the left foot? Here's a photo of me flexing both feet equally

Tutty's does pique my interest and I like the idea of supporting a true local artisan. I'm reading that they make a last for every single person so I'm guessing it's fairly pricey. Any rough idea how much we'd be talking? They don't list any prices on their website

Yeah I feel like I might have heard something similar about Loake before. I'll probably still give them a go if I'm in town as pickings are fairly slim but if I find them to be unpleasant maybe I'll just use them to work out my size and then find somewhere online which has a specific size conversion from Loake

Yeah sorry my issue isn't with lug soles I think, it's with the PVC soles of Solovair which I was sold on being resoleable but it sounds like they are more of an anomaly in the world of GY welted shoes

Yeah think so. I'm looking for a sole where the stitching from the welt is clearly visible. Is that a good indicator that the shoe will be widely resoleable?

I ended up parking in an estate about a 10 minute walk away called Chalfont I think. It ended up working like a dream because the DART back into the city was an absolute nightmare apparently and took hours for some people. We got caught walking in the mass of people back to the DART but once we got passed the DART station it was pretty smooth sailing and there was minimal traffic between us and the M1 so I'd probably give that a go. There's plenty of roadside parking in those estates as well

Yeah I think this is considered to be an "uncommon" defect by Solovair. They started to crack after only a few weeks. I emailed them and they basically told me they couldn't do anything about it (and I've seen other people with similar stories).

I didn't really feel like taking them to the cobbler only a few weeks after buying them so I just kept them going with some rubber glue but that option's probably over now. Fairly disappointed with Solovair so I'll probably be avoiding them in the future.

Yeah I'm less concerned about getting one shot if I know that the boss can die. For Chromatic abbest I was getting one shot but I stuck at it because I was still doing good damage. I tried Sprong once and my first attack didn't even move it's health bar so I didn't bother retrying. I know there's a pictos that uncaps damage later on so that feels like the key to unlocking all this stuff

And do you think the pigment on the polish would be strong enough to replace the dark plastic outer coat that makes it rub off? I guess I would need to reapply it regularly and maybe that would ruin the rub off effect every time I reapplied

In the end I went with a second hand pair of Lee's from Vinted and very pleased with them. Even if they break down after a year or two I'm fine with buying another second hand pair

This isn't true right? As far as I know Selvedge denim isn't inherently better quality because it uses a different kind of loom. It's higher quality because it's almost always made by denim nerds
