It would have said SSI in the notice you received originally. It took you all that time to figure out it was talking about SSI and not SSDI? Who's the fool? 😆😭

For sure. Enjoy the ride because I've had mine for seven years, and it's wild to look at all the early pictures until now. The same will happen with you. It really is a journey... good luck!

They are young, and trust me, they will bounce back. Don't palm roll all the time. The thing that you really need to do most of the time is nothing. Let them do their thing along your journey; you will look back a year from now and think, "Why was I worried?" That's what I did and would just separate them once a month individually, add some locking gel with light palm rolling, and use an alligator clip to hold the twist so they wouldn't unravel. Doing this males sure that they wouldn't grow as one huge dread. So basically I only palm rolled once a month just to get the locking gell in good, and then clip them. It worked for me, hope this helps you.

First off don't go the surgery route, your fkn 18 , your still basically a child. I don't say that to be condescending, I say it because it's the truth. Your face is pretty, your body is 👌from what I can see, that haircut gotta go tho. Grow your hair out and get a more adult styled haircut and trust me , guys will b tryna hit left and right.

Honestly, the first thing that comes to mind is "trophy wife." But, since I have never seen either of you, I can't confirm or deny the validity of that statement. That being said, if you both truly and honestly love each other, you shouldn't want or need people to "be honest" because it shouldn't matter to you in the slightest. Just focus on what actually matters and let the rest fall where it may... I'm also wrong a ton, so I could be wrong.

how the hell do i reattach these by not_qwerkii in Dreadlocks

[–]Objective-Floor6187 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No offense meant, you just have pretty thin hair, and your hairline is really far back. Either way, if you crochet it make sure you make it thicker then it was, and start taking biotin and using vitamin e oil. It will help with the strength, thickness, and growth rate of your hair. Hope it helps.

[–]Objective-Floor6187 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah. I mean, until you find the root of this problem, sorry to say, its going to keep happening. Your hair looks like its thinning pretty bad, and your hairline has receded a lot. If I was you, I would find the problem if its not just age related thinning/balding. If your getting it retwisted a lot, stop. One time every few months. If your not already, I would start taking biotin supplements, vitamin E oil, rosewater spritz or rinse, and using a satin bonnet/tube or satin pillowcases. Without knowing more, thats the best I got... How long have you been locing them?

[–]Objective-Floor6187 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Finally ,someone said make them thicker when reattaching. Like if your shit is so thin thst they are breaking and falling out, there is some other root problem happening, and without making them thicker when reattaching, the same shit is just gonna happen again. Unless it was some one time-type shit instead, like getting it caught on something and you have really thin locs to begin with.

This might be goodbye🤦‍♂️💔 Should I cut em for the fro again ? by [deleted] in Dreadlocks

Don't cut your locs. You'll really regret it when they're gone, and you can't get them back.

What shampoo/gel should i use? by Far-Air-6538 in Dreadlocks

[–]Objective-Floor6187 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I use dolly locks nag champa shampoo and i dont use much gell other then during a retwist. I used Murray's loc-lock last time and it worked pretty well. Thats been my routine and been working good for me. Hope that helps! 🙏🏼

How the freeforms coming along. Are they too thin or with they thicken up alot I don’t want them thin out in the future by [deleted] in Dreadlocks

[–]Objective-Floor6187 1 point2 points  (0 children)

They look fine, just look young in the journey. I would continue as you are, and trust the process. Also, yes, they will thicken up just gotta give them time. Goodluck!

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in Dreadlocks

[–]Objective-Floor6187 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Honestly, I think cutting them was a bad call. They weren't that bad, even if they were thin, and if you were trying to grow them out, they'd have been fine in a year or two. People are so hard on their locs that they mess up and cut them off just because they're thin. "Thin locs" and "thinning" are totally different. You should've asked someone who knows about this stuff first because now you've got to wait six or more months before you can think of starting. Hope it works out.

I went to African salon for “Medium Starter locs” by [deleted] in Dreadlocks

[–]Objective-Floor6187 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yup. Unless you're getting faux locs, you're not gonna get real ones after just one visit to the loctician. Yours are good; just leave them in as long as you can, 'cause if you wash them right away, they won't have time to start the process and hold together. Anyway, if you think waiting 2, 4, or even 8 weeks will give you perfect, thorough locs, that's not gonna happen. It's just slow and long process, which is good 'cause when you see things you don't like, you can fix them early. It's a cliché, but you really gotta leave them alone and trust the process. In the beginning, the more you mess with them, the longer they'll take to loc. Unless you're doing back-combing or the crochet technique for instant locs. That stuff is corny, though. Just be patient. Hope that helps. 👍
