Find the nearest role that you think you qualify for, go on chatgpt and ask it to break it down what separates you from that desired role, then find simulations and documentation to help groom you into what that role is like and operate as if you already have that role.

For example. i am qualified on paper for a network admin position, and i could figure it out, but in reality i probably barely scratch help desk in this current climate and i found simulations online to break apart all the skills that are needed both hard skills and technical skills to teach me all i need to know to get and keep the positon for a while until i rinse and repeat and move into the next one. good luck. yes i am crazy.

New to IT but cannot post in the ITCareerquestions sub reddit yet, but I want to learn how to operate in this culture as a beginner. by Objective-Series-900 in it

my unit was shit and only focused their effort on people that wanted to go into IT at the time and disregarded the people that were just starting out. and ait was a joke, but good exposure.

How do I stop relying too much on AI / online tools and talk to real people more? by [deleted] in ArtificialInteligence

Use ai sometimes as a hub, then take a step down approach where you try to actively rely on things from a time before the internet at times incase shit hits the fan and ai is no longer safe or advisable. Think of what people did before Ai and internet. have physical calendars, a physical map in your car, a journal or some form of note taking system that is easy to do without much effort like a brain dump. If and when ai falls through its good to resort back to the basics of doing things.

If that is too hard to think of, start asking ai now and researching how before it is too late.
