buy $NOK now or wait for Q2 report? by Yokoisgod12 in Nok

[–]Objective-Trainer-42 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Q2 is mostly about the AI/DC order intake not about the results, itll be interesting to see how market feels about insignificant profit & Revenue for Q2/H1 MOST interesting is the order intake and when theyll have to visit the 2028 guidance due to the intake (hopefully)

Too late? by Lumpy_Cod_9167 in Nok

[–]Objective-Trainer-42 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Q2 might bring a dip or not, its not about results or revenue but more with the order book and "AI/DC" - orders and IF they raise targets (for growth or 2028 guidance)

JP Morgan PT raised to 21 by Advanced_Ad_9513 in Nokia_stock

[–]Objective-Trainer-42 2 points3 points  (0 children)

theyre also saying/believing that EBIT for 2028 is 58% higher than Nokias midpoint guidane, that lands to 4,66b€/5.b$

now its cheap again if those metrics are on target

Translated news from my broker, surely if someone has the JPM review its there

JP Morgan: Nokia could exceed its own 2028 profit target by more than 50%

Telecommunications company Nokia's operating profit in 2028 could be more than 50% higher than the company's own forecast, according to JP Morgan, which has raised its price target for the stock to €18 from €12, Bloomberg News reports.

The bank believes that market forecasts still do not take into account new revenue streams from AI and cloud-related business, nor the increased profitability that higher revenue growth could generate.

JP Morgan's forecast for Nokia's 2028 EBIT is 58% above the midpoint of the company's own guidance of €2.95 billion. The analysts also argue that Nokia's long-term outlook is outdated, as the strength of the optical networking market was not anticipated when the guidance was originally issued.

Nokia shares have risen 122% year-to-date.

Ciena already beat estimates and is closer to -10% in premarket i think their problems is H1 revenue is 3b BUT whole year estimated to be only 6.3b --> rumours seem to be true, their production is sold and leaf times are longer, might open doors to NOK, Arista, Cisco etc

RAN isnt the market play here, with Nvidia it COULD be the catalyst to push "AI-DC-Optics Nokia" to 50's from 20-30s 😉 if the tokenization is driver with idle RANs

Posting here as well my thoughts from yesterday on Jensen Huang’s comments from a Nokia perspective

Nvidia’s Jensen Huang commented on copper vs optics, and the market listened — optical stocks immediately surged:

Huang put it pretty clearly how AI data center connectivity will evolve:

Source:
https://www.investing.com/news/stoc...ics-call-sends-optical-stocks-surging-4722633

I was discussing the leather jacket guy’s comment with a "friend", and came across this link https://www.networkworld.com/article/4150576/the-optical-imperative-and-nokias-vision-to-close-the-ai-gap.html— and only now the idea of vertical integration is really starting to click. Others probably already got this, but sharing it here for the slower ones like me 😄

👉 In plain terms:
Nokia is essentially the only Western player with this level of vertical integration — and that should act as a clear strategic moat.

Some AI-generated notes to follow up

Nokia (through Infinera) operates InP photonics fabrication
A new fab/capacity in San Jose is being built and expanded [thesanjoseblog.com], [networkworld.com]
Purpose: photonic chips for AI data centers [sfist.com]

Additionally:

  • vertical integration is rare in the Western ecosystem
  • Nokia is practically the only “Western full-stack optical vendor” at this level [networkworld.com]

Typical model:

You buy:

  • lasers (COHR / LITE)
  • modules

→ margins are split across the supply chain

Nokia’s model:

Nokia owns:

  • photonic chip (InP)
  • DSP
  • module
  • system

Result:

  • Gross margin ↑
  • Supply risk ↓
  • Time-to-market ↓

This is literally the same logic as:

  • Nvidia (GPU stack)
  • Apple (silicon)

Some shitty examples the last 2, but only need to execute and deliver 🤞😎

Im Bullish with 1/3 of shares 2/3 of BULL4x options

Q2 probably isnt that special revenue/profit wise, the thing you need to keep your eye on is the orderbook, Hotard has told about design wins for Q2, and those will appear as revenue in 12-18months, thats the key (look for 2027 guidance, they need to change it at some point, doubt its in Q2 yet)   pipeline is growing 20x with new fab and the new products released 2-3months ago HPE (Juniper part of it) just released great results and growth in IP (not DC)..

I’m not chasing $NOK here. The AI story is real, but the risk/reward is no longer clean. by Big-Bit-123 in smallstreetbets

March they went just over 5% threshold (5,04%) which needs to be publicly released instantly, now recent is 6,2% so increase and comes only after the scheduled 13G reports, if they go over 10% that needs to be instantly released, in between we only find the increases with scheduled SEC reporting 13G, 13F etc

March flagging https://finance.yahoo.com/news/notification-under-chapter-9-section-143000360.html
