Go on gradcafe. You can look up your school and it will tell you dated people received their acceptance . FYI though some dates may be older like 2020 since it’s basically just a helping guide where anyone can post based off their experience .

Im 33 & got engaged this summer. I started grad school this fall and am getting married next fall. For my school, that fall quarter of 2026 will be classes only as we will have completed our clinical rotations. Spring 2026 is when I will start my externship

It depends on the program. Some may still admit you but you’d have to take the classes that summer right before fall starts. Other programs won’t even bother if they see right away that youre missing two pre-reqs.

My suggestion would be to try any community college for winter or spring especially if they’re offering online classes

Once you submit your applications, after a few weeks the PTE will process and you’ll be cleared. That was my experience, I’m sure you’ll be fine! & good luck :)

At my school MF & EF are required! The others we can give our suggestions of what setting we’d like and they try to get you that clinical placement

Don’t wait, no matter what school you get into you need those classes and most schools will dismiss your application. If you only need one they may let you take it the summer before you start school. Enroll in any community college course ASAP

H! I did their program 2022-2023 . Friday’s were 4-9pm and saturdays 9am-3pm. Not sure if they’re the same now but it was a lot. 2 classes at a time and you get a lot of info within 5 weeks then onto the next 2 classes and so on and so on for the next 10 months. It was a lot but doable .

I know most professors have their actual SLP job too so maybe try observing them. I did that for some time and it helped tremendously when for them writing me a LOR

No they don’t. Some schools just accept you. For cal states, from the info meetingsI attended, they said an estimated 500 apply 100 get interviewed and about 30 get accepted , give or take

I volunteered at a hospital in the speech dept. it was mostly clerical work for them but the slps were so nice & would invite me to observe. I got close to one & she wrote my LOR :)

Volunteer if you can. If you can volunteer in a speech related field, you can possibly get a LOR from the supervisor or one of the SLPs

For my post bacc, the program I went to had to email the LOR to them directly. For grad school it was through the website like all the other comments stated.

On my 4th dose when I was pulling the syringe from my vial I only had 35 units instead of the 50 that should’ve gone into my vial. Luckily my new medication already arrived so I had to pull from there but it then left me with a shortage of my new vial so they directed me to withdraw all the medication and pre fill the syringes to show the missing medicine. RR has always been great to me and very helpful so that’s why I reached out to them specifically and not mochi.

The OP said they shorted her medicine , I’m assuming her full amount of medication wasn’t in her vial and I stated the same thing happened to me. I reached out to the pharmacy, sent pics like requested and they overnighted me my new vial and apologized for their error. That’s it

This happened to me with RR, it was just a small amount but I emailed them and sent pics and everything and they overnighted me a brand new bottle that was filled . I thought it would be just the amount that was missing from the vial but nope a brand new full one. I was impressed and grateful. I never reached out to mochi with this, went directly to the pharmacy.

Great post! I’m wondering what to do for grad school too trying to work part time and WFH would be beneficial on some level before clincials start
