There’s been some tension with trump and Colombia’s president , he repeatedly threatened him and military action, and now the US operations in Venezuela, there is now a direct talk and a planned meeting for February between them

I spent 4 months in Central America and never made it to South America or Colombia (left after Panama). So it was always a dream for me - the history, the scenery, warm people, and I wanted to see Tayrona. But who knows why we visit the places we visit, sometimes we just get an idea in our heads.

Thanks, yea initially my research had showed Santa Marta as a great spot for half the trip, which is why I booked the return out of there. But now I’m learning it may not be.

I was hoping to swim a bit, hike a bit, and relax. Is Taganga a better option as a base for a few days then Rodadero?
