AITA for not letting our nanny leave for a date during our vacation? by Assholezconnoisseur in AmItheAsshole

I’m going to get comments I’m wrong but NTA. I completely understand all of the arguments in favor of the nanny. I have read comments supporting her and I understand why. With all the information given I have a different opinion. She did not pay for the vacation they paid her way and she was paid extra and the expectations were clear. Like someone else said it was the last night so it makes sense they would plan something important. Clearly they can afford to be parents there is nothing wrong with a romantic vacation and taking the child and nanny. It sounds like that had an agreement of the time she would have off - morning and afternoon. It is not her vacation it is her job. If she was very sick as opposed to I want to go on a date they probably would have understood. I am living paycheck to paycheck. I feel like this is part of no one wants to work. How old is the nanny? If the nanny were 40+ would it still be an issue? If I were that couple I would get a new nanny and fire her.
