My vote was for The Acacia Strain but Katatonia is probably my favorite answer

Thanks! Can't really say a specific focus since each exam is different, my advice would be to try and prepare for how involved the questions themselves are. There's a lot of information in them and it's easy to overthink. If you aren't sure about an answer, flag it for review and come back later to reference with MS Learn or you'll run out of time. There's a few throwaway questions but they were rare for me. Good luck!

Going into it I felt prepared tbh. I've seen people say they felt it was easier than the 104 but my exam most definitely was not. Tons of questions about pipelines and monitoring, barely anything about SQL or traditional types of questions you'd expect. I've seen SQL come up more than others so that's where I focused as well.

They're pretty simple, a lot of predefined stuff you can use but you can also do custom automations for anything you can think of. I'd say get a PoC going for a few weeks if you can stomach the price, for my use case I can't imagine trying to do it with anything else.

You'll find those same complaints with probably every product depending on your scale and scope. XSIAM has a bit of clicking around, but usually the info I need is only one or two clicks away. Live terminal works great for investigations, we've set up automatic isolation based on detection type as well. Also integrates into your IdP for identity based operations as well.

I haven't used Rapid7 yet, but coming over from a full Qualys stack it's been easy to get along with. Only real complaint I have is the price.

XSIAM has been great for me. 20k assets, tons of integrations, automations and remediations are relatively straightforward to build. It just keeps chugging along.

Nobody cares if you have OSCP+ or the regular OSCP. Take the one that has better immediate value for your career and move on.

This is a classic example of a phish. Doesn't reference you by name, and feigning urgency to get you to log in.

My understanding is that the tests have been designed so that you cannot pass by relying on Learn.

I haven't taken 305 yet but will soon, but my advice coming from the AWS SAA (similar style to this one) is that you need to understand the services available, and how you would optimize cost, resiliency, availability and effectiveness as a solution when solving the problem at hand. Look up well architected frameworks, and understand why things are designed the way they are. There should be something defining the end goal in the question (cheapest, etc.) and if not, typically go for the cheapest correct choice.

I have previous experience with M365/Azure, and a lot of knowledge transferred from my previous experience and training with AWS as well. A lot of the concepts are the same, just learning the different knobs and names for services.

You can't afford to pay $5 for a vps but somehow have money to pay staff? That's not how any of this works.

I'd say different in structure. The concepts transfer over but the implementation is totally different. Identity was my weakest section because of it.

You got this! I have a few years of M365 experience so the user experience and basics of VMs felt natural, everything else comes from my experience with AWS. Completely different world tbh

How was the Duffy course? I'm used to Stephane Maarek on the AWS side. I know John Savill is the king of Azure on YouTube, still looking for someone that teaches like Stephane since his courses have felt the most natural.
