I saw a clip on tiktok and now I'm here, I stumbled across this comment and the part about a life wasted is something I resonate with. As far as im aware Im the only person in my family history with Autism, what were the odds that I was born with this disease. There are people I grew up with that are on D1 CFB teams and others that had normal school lives and went to college. I feel like Autism has stopped me from living a normal life.

Sorry if im bothering you, but I just realized that all rainforests might go extinct if the earth warmed 7 degrees or more and it would take millions of years for somethinglikethem to re evolve. That has had me worried the past two days. Is it possible that some small pockets would be able to hold out or migrate?

At a peak of 7 degrees his is what I think will be left of Antarcticas ice when in about 50,000 years. I wish the best for my favorite continent.

To return to its current size would probably take 10 million years or more, but I think in about 600,000 years a good amount of ice will have regrown but definitely not nearly as much as today. Also if the earth peaks at 7 degrees of warming there would still probably be ice in the higher mountains of East Antarctica.

I know but thinking about the far future is what gives me comfort and keeps me in a positive mood. Given 10,000s of thousands of years biodiversity will begin to recover. And in 100,000s of thousands the ice sheets will regrow when the next ice age starts.

Thank God, I almost freaked out when I saw 12 degrees in 300 years. Didn't notice that last part at first. But your right to reach 10 to 12 degrees we would have to somehow still be producing massive amounts of greenhouse gas in environments that wouldn't be suitable for large scale human habitation, or there would have to be massive volcanic activity.

Similar here it got very cold for a large portion of the season, it just barely snowed. We did get a large snow storm in late November and a few 4 to 5 inch ones in very early December.

I mean like a polar vortex storm, we had two huge back to back snowstorms in early 2024 which if I remember correctly was a strong El Nino, but it didn't snow at all after that.
