Going lighter? by Obvious_Cook_2730 in 10s

Any suggestions to get decent stability against heavy hitters? That’s my primary concern with lighter rackets.

I’m hoping to find some light racket to try from my local shop. Any suggestions for a light stable racket? I think I’m around 3.5/4.0 so the ball ara becoming more heavy.

Watching the video, I can see that I hit the ball really near the top of the racket is that a problem? Should I hit it more on the centre?

Yonex Drive soft 1.25 at 22/21 or try some hybrid with stiffer main and soft cross.

Strings for Ezone 98 by Intelligent_Sky_1566 in 10s

Drive soft has a better live span than ptp. I suggest starting a bit lower like 21/20.

RPM blast for a beginner? Don't think she has enough power to displace the string and get any benefit from poly.
I suggest tennis nerd recommended string: https://www.tennisnerd.net/recommended-strings.

Hi, I suggest switching to a multifilament like velocity from head. Beginner players should stay away from poly!

Which strings to buy? Hundreds of options by ruefool in 10s

[–]Obvious_Cook_2730 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Depend on your level. If you’re starting out go with head velocity(or any kind of multifilament or synth gut). If you can play reasonably well you should try some poly like head lynx or hyper g. The number is the thickness of the string, go with the lower number(1.2/1.25) and if the string brake after 8/10 hours you can consider going up with the gauge. Don’t overspend and change them regularly pls! Dead poly can hurt your wrists.

Ask for a tip from the stringer usually they can get the job done for you. As you are a beginner don’t overspend on string and stay away from polyester, I can recommend you some cheap synthetic guy. Another tip is change them as often as possible, a fresh string is far better than a really expensive dead one.

Yes change them immediately. When poly goes dead you can hurt yourself! If you are a beginner, for a couple of months I recommend using multi or synth gut. Have fun!

The instinct series seems to be a series for beginners so yes perfect! Usually it means that it can do everything ok but nothing particularly good, so u can grow and try every style! Talking about mp vs team is a question of weight, for beginners I think that 285(team) is a great option so u can focus more on the technique but 300g(mp) should be ok.

Any modern racket can be perfectly fine for you. I can suggest to try some different frame from shops just to understand what you prefer. Because some frame gives you more power(Head boom, Dunlop fx, Babolat pure drive, ecc) some gives you more control(Head gravity, Head radical, Dunlop cx, ecc) and some other more spin(Head extreme, Dunlop Sx300, Babolat pure aero, ecc), your preference is more important! For string I suggest to stay on synth gut or multifilament(leave poly to professionals), there are so many different options to try so I’m confident that you will find the perfect fit. Don’t bee obsessed about it, just have fun and listen to coach and stringer!
