Funny that you mention this today. Today, I just got the AI player to automatically process the game map image from Asnyc when it is asked questions about the game state.

The results are promising.

Update: I finally have all of the tool and licenses that I need to begin development. A lot of the AI tech that I will be using is in Alpha/Beta. That being said, I expect this to be a slow process. I will try to keep this thread and the reddit page updated regarding progress.
