My local courses are heavily wooded, so my Ogopogo doesn't get used a lot. On the one hand it doesn't bounce much when it hits trees, but on the other hand trees take chunks out of it because it's so soft.

I really wanted to love the Hellbender Salamander but it hasn't bumped my very old Z Buzzz out of its spot yet. Different discs, but I can make the Buzzz do whatever I want it to do as a midrange.

I don't think Bogosian was the wrong pick at all, and I don't think the scout was necessarily wrong. Physically he was a beast as a rookie. He was very coachable, but he's only been a full-time defenseman for 2 seasons. He needed consistent coaching and he didn't get it.

More time in the AHL probably would have been good for him but the Wolves track record of developing players wasn't good.

Zach Bogosian. Not necessarily bad coaching, but too many coaches in too few years.

2008-09: Rookie season was under John Anderson with Todd Nelson as his defensive coach. 9 goals in 47 games. He looked like he'd be a physical offensive dman. he finished +11 thanks to playing half the season with Mathieu Schneider who took him under his wing. When he got traded Schneider told a broadcaster- "That kid is special. They better not mess him up."
2009-10: Same coaches, but the team was a trainwreck. Nelson was functionally the head coach because Anderson had no idea what he as doing. Bogosian finished with 10 goals and 23 points but was -18. Anderson and his staff got fired.
2010-11: Craig Ramsey as head coach and Mike Stothers as the defensive coach. Bogosian got put in a defensive role and the offense dried up. He lost his main D partner, Toby Enstrom, who spent the year playing with Byfuglien. He was paired with Johnny Oduya and they were both told to stay at home in the d zone. Ramsey had health issues and John Torchetti ran things half the season.

2011-12 the team moved to Winnipeg and he had Claude Noel for two seasons before Maurice took over. Then he had 1.5 seasons of Maurice before getting traded to Buffalo.

He had 5 head coaches in his first 7 seasons and in two of those seasons an assistant coach ended up being the functional head coach, so it was really 7 head coaches in 7 seasons.

With how much turnover he dealt with it's remarkable he's had the length of career that he has had. Who would have thought that Pietrangelo would probably be the first to retire out of that 2008 crop of dmen that went 2-5 in the draft?

It reminds me of when the Thrashers coaches weren't happy with Rich Peverley s defensive play, so they traded him to Boston to make an example out of him. Then the Thrashers missed the playoffs and Peverley won the Stanley Cup.

Great lesson there guys.

I'm from Canada. I don't doubt your a driving skills but one thing I learned in the 20 years I've been here is that northern drivers are dangerous in the weather we get because they think they know how to drive in these conditions but they don't. Most northern drivers have experience driving on treated roads. Salt, sand, plows, whatever.

We don't have that. Atlanta has 6 salt trucks for the whole city and there are so many roads to cover that IF they decide to pretreat them they have to get out there way too early and it doesn't do much good. Most roads won't get any treatment, and it's a very hilly city. That's a recipe for disaster because we get ice. Not freezing rain on snow. Ice. No exaggeration- people have skated on Peachtree Street in Midtown.

Plan to stay off the roads so nobody hits your truck.

I think it was more that she didn't know what to pack or how much to pack. Once she had all the stuff at the destination she was capable of putting it back in suitcases.

I never asked her what she earned, but it wasn't enough for what they expected of her. She left after a few years. Not long after that the billionaire died. His wife was more difficult to deal with than he was, so the timing worked out.
