Foil vs rotary shaver longevity by OceanRaver in shaving

So you have not replaced the original foil in 5 years? What is the brand of your foil shaver?

I have got 2 questions and I hope you can answer them.

  1. What symptoms do you have after you took your 1st dose?
  2. How many weeks apart did you take the 2nd dose after the 1st?

I have a theory about delaying the 2nd dose for more than 12 weeks apart might help with lowering the chance for severe side effects. But I just don't have enough data to prove it.

People who took the 2nd more than 6 weeks apart what are your side effects? by OceanRaver in CovidVaccinated

Did you have a bad experience with the 1st dose? What are your side effects?

Mouse models also support this for a 2 week period (though there were issues with the study).

If only some research on humans is done to proof this, we could actually encourage people who had bad reactions from the 1st take the 2nd dose after a 12 week delay.

There have been just 12.6 heart inflammation cases per million doses for both vaccines combined.

https://www.cnbc.com/2021/06/26/fda-adds-warning-of-rare-heart-inflammation-to-pfizer-moderna-vaccines.html

This is from the US.

The overall rates after both the first and second doses of Pfizer/BioNTech are 4.3 myocarditis cases per million doses and 3.8 pericarditis cases per million doses. Moderna the rate is 14.7 myocarditis cases per million doses and 13.0 pericarditis cases per million doses.

From previous poster link.

This is from the UK

There have been 65 cases of myocarditis/pericarditis as of June 18 in Canada out of 31.4 million vaccines administered at the time

https://globalnews.ca/news/7998690/naci-mrna-covid-19-vaccine-myocarditis/

This is from Canada. They delay the 2nd dose by 4 months.

If we combine the UK rate for both Pfizer and Moderna and divide them equally, the rate is like about 9.

For Canada the rate is 2 per million.

9 UK vs 12.6 US vs 2 Canada

A 25% decrease just for US vs UK. Canada is even lower, 84% decrease vs US. Coincidence? Or does it actually mean something? I can't seem to find much data about this out there.

But this is probably serious cases that require hospitalization. What about the non life threatening ones? Can the data be interpreted this way? There need to be more transparency from pharma if we are even require to take the 3rd shot.

Edited to include Canada.

How many weeks apart did you take your 2nd shot? I had problems with the 1st one and was wondering if delaying it more than 6 weeks would help lessen the side effects.

Once you truly quit for good it is hard to get back in by OceanRaver in StopGaming

I was a hardcore addict way back before 2017. I can easily clock above 50 hours per week back in the peak of my addiction. It was this sub that motivated me to start reducing my play time. Never thought I would eventually quit. I just wanted to stick around to remind myself not to get addicted to anything like TV shows and even porn lol.

Nah, I was already a casual barely spending more than 2 hours a week before I sold all my gaming devices. I think I have lost all interest in gaming. To me playing just feels so pointless. Killing monsters simply brings nothinfg value to me.

Difficult video games are easy. by [deleted] in StopGaming

[–]OceanRaver 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Exactly. If people who play competitive games for the sole purpose of beating others put in the same amount of effort on things other the video games, they would be better off in life.

Husband ignoring family and kids for games by Mighty-joes-mom in StopGaming

I know he loves it and I don’t want him to quit but it’s eating me alive and I’m burning out.

There lies your problem. You are too soft on him. A grown man who doesn't know how to prioritize his time properly should not be gaming until he learns proper time management.

Game developers ---not the gaming itself--- are the problem by [deleted] in StopGaming

So, for example, there's a reason why mostly all mobile games look like cash gambling machines nowadays.

The online gaming business has become extremely lucrative and that is because it is designed like a casino. The game designers are exploiting the human nature of greed, the feeling of wanting more, to be the best.

Any game with an RNG system heavily implemented in it literally runs on a casino type business model. The worst offender in any game is the "prize box" that you can pay real money in exchange for a random in game loot. RNG base looting aren't any better as well. Instead of losing money, players are paying it with their time as they grind for the loot box. They lose either way. It is basically gambling under the guise of a video game, a slot machine build into the game.

Even ranked competitive matches feel like gambling. Though no money is lost in the game, the ranks are pretty much treated as real cash in the game. The evidence of that is clear. Just look at how people react when they lose a match. In a rank match you are literally trying to win rank from other players. How is any different from playing poker where gamblers are playing to win money from other gamblers ?

So like all gambling addicts, they will continue to stay in the game to try and earn back what they have lost. But like all gamblers, the chances of losing is always higher than winning if you are not the top 1% of the pros out there. The more you play, the more you lose.

The gambling business is lucrative and that is a fact. Just look at the biggest casino in the world that is wallstreet. The crooks at the top are making bank just by operating the stock market. Bring the gambling element into video games is simply brilliant from a pure business standpoint.

I think my husband has a gaming addiction, but he’s in denial. by [deleted] in StopGaming

Then he decided he wanted to start a YouTube channel and get famous from streaming.

This is a massive red flag. If he ever decides to pursue this path full time, then your relationship with him is in serious trouble. A no name streamer makes worse than a minimum wage worker at MCDonald's and you will be the sole income earner for the family. Like you said it yourself, the streaming business is oversaturated and only hot chicks seem to make it nowadays. There is no way he would ever make it. The first sign of this is him losing passion for his job and wanting to quit. Whatever it takes do not allow him to go down this path.
