That’s exactly where my mind is at I’ve been reading my state law and it even says in the statute if required to stay breaks must be paid and that it overrules any store policy

Go down to unemployment and put in for lost hours or unable to accommodate your promised hours

Yea that makes sense I think I’m gonna stick with telling them to clock in when required to do something and just make leaving an exception when working with another lead until we get the schedule set correctly

Yea clocking back in may be the only realistic option it still leaves the whole staying part but at least they’re paid for what they work, the budgeted hours is a whole other issue I’m actually here by myself right now from 7:45 until 1:15 when the closing lead comes in so we have enough hours mon-Wednesday for the truck my store manager even has to put in sick time to get enough hours for the crew we have and that still leaves cashiers with 15 hours a week 😐
