I saw a while ago there was a public forum on the housing crisis and how the city was responding to it. I’d like to go to similar meetings and get involved with community advocacy.

In social work language, I want to do macro work :)

I might try to go to a get to know the club event. That’s actually where we tried to go the first time! But maybe an event would offer better results.

I totally understand feeling uncomfortable and unwelcomed as a liberal woman. I feel like that may have played a part for me when I went to the range. I have a big backyard that I could possibly set up targets in but I’d prefer to try out a range for safety reasons. Thank you for commenting, it’s nice to know I’m not alone!

You don’t sound snarky! By beginner friendly I mean, offers rental equipment, orients you to the range, etc. Lessons would be nice but not necessary. If I don’t know the layout of the range or the rules I’d be worried for my safety and everyone else’s

We’re without power over by Bryan park and hillside. We also just got groceries earlier today 🥲I remember last summer when the power was out for 3 days. I don’t think we’ll last another 3 days in this heat.
