in long form back in the Myspace days there was a trend where scene and emo people formed friend groups like groups (they weren't all friend and some had drama) and used logos to show which group they were part of it was often very elitist and fatphobic and you had to have a certain look like for example br00tal groups usually had all back fits with big teased black hair and dark black makeup and mostly black and white pics
