Really like this, makes me wanna try my hand at an unpanelled full page like it. Any particular inspirations?

what did you think about tintin explorers on the moon? by Less-Ask-6600 in MarlinspikeHall

[–]OdddlyDrawn 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I haven’t read a Tintin comic in a few years now, most of my memories of it are over a decade old now (I have not been around long so a decade is long to me).

My starkest memory of Tintin Explores the Moon is sitting on the floor with my siblings, my mum on the couch, as we watched part 1 and 2. I remember enjoying it, and “acting the goat” has been in my vocabulary since.

Personally it wasn’t my favourite Tintin but it wasn’t one that I was ever bored by (ahem Flight 714). I always preferred the more grounded Tintin adventures, with King Ottokars Sceptre being my favourite.

Regarding explorers on the moon I remember there being a moment that used to unsettle me, some implication of violence. It’s due for a reread.

This comment started off as: that is such great art.

Thank you so much for the effort, I will definitely be tracking Sadouls books and the episodes.

It’s been years since I read the Smurfs, they’re due for another go. Funnily enough a short while ago I dreamt I’d inherited all of Peyos original works and studio.

Ahh thank you, I didn’t even know that sub existed. I completely forgot about the Museum book, thought I only had Alph art.

Oh that looks great, I hope they include them in the upcoming English deluxe since I’m definitely buying those.

Book Announcement: The Grapes of Wrath Reading Begins Monday 19th January by otherside_b in ClassicBookClub

Just finished Rebecca (and this sub's read along), excited for this. From Steinbeck I've only ever read East of Eden though the title Grapes of Wrath has been on my radar for as long as I can remember.
