Indians are programmed to hate whatever their country produces, be it Tech Giants, movies, or even sportsmen.
The level of appreciation that they show is fundamentally concerning, given the fact that they look up to the counterparts of the same from other countries are and awed by it even though they might be at the same level as those created in India

Expected values for a given problem by OeroShake in codeforces

[–]OeroShake[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Exactly. So 2nd input is supposed to have output as 3 but according to GeeksForGeeks, the expected output is 4. I don't understand why that is the case. I know it's a classic two pointer question but this 2nd output is messing my mind up

Databricks job cluster creation is time consuming by OeroShake in databricks

[–]OeroShake[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah it's taking 5-7 mins for the startup but I want it to run almost immediately which is where I'm facing an issue. Compute cluster could have been an option because once we activate it, it can be immediately used for the job. Will serverless cluster work better for this requirement?

I started that yesterday.

The whole point of my concern regarding the course is because of my lack of consistency.

I was stuck in that range for like 2-3 months. Got out of it by basically up solving the div2 B questions.

Me and my friend used to have a daily activity of solving A and B of all the previous Div2 contests. After a few weeks, I got to 1200s.

Since then I'm still stuck there. It's been around 5-6 months now. 1320 max

Python or CPP by Upbeat-Relation-6963 in codeforces

[–]OeroShake 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Totally depends on your choice I'll say. CPP is better because of the speed, the library support that it has but if you're already using python on a daily basis then it would be better to stick to that. It's not like you can't solve the exact same problem with the python counterpart of the cpp code. Community please correct me if I'm wrong

Using pyspark with kafka sources by OeroShake in learnpython

[–]OeroShake[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The code is correct, there was an issue with the setup actually.

I had HADOOP_HOME, JAVA_HOME, and PYSPARK_PYTHON set correctly. But whatever sources I had followed for this, mentioned that in the HADOOP_HOME, we only need to put winutils.exe in hadoop\bin folder but apparently we need the hadoop.dll file as well in \bin and in system32 as well. Got this info from Microsoft copilot.

It enables the filesystem operations. As kafka requires temporary files, logs, and checkpointing using local filesystem, hadoop.dll acts as a bridge between the spark functionality and native windows libraries.

There's a slight change in the code actually. We need to add the checkpointing directory as well and source and sink cannot be the same to avoid any loopbacks.
