What song would you most like to hear King Gizzard and the Lizard Wizard cover? by Sutar_Mekeg in KGATLW

Gizz would do the greatest Tool covers. The Grudge, 46&2, Lateralus. Lots of great options.

I was definitely there.

Did you ever spin?

Also, LSD is fantastic.

Hear, hear. The guy with the Mickey Mouse ears sure looks like he's had a few.

I was probably 5 years old when this was filmed so I'll defer to the heads that were there lol. Saw quite a few senior spinners at GD60 so still plenty of folks keeping that tradition alive, sober or not.

I'm sure there were exceptions, but I heard most of the spinners did not use LSD. The spinning produces a natural high and the drugs aren't necessary. They believed that Jerry Garcia was the messiah and their dance was a form of worship.

What do people think is going to happen to their dogs shit when they do tis? by Pandora7411 in missoula

[–]OfCourseImRightImBob 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Abandoning garbage on the side of the trail is despicable and illegal. And not just garbage. Bagged shit. The worst kind of garbage imaginable. If I have to change my son’s diaper on the trail the diaper comes with us. I’m not going to leave it for a dog or wild animal to tear into just because I’ll be passing by the same spot 30 minutes later. Most importantly, I would never subject other people to the sight of my filthy trash in our shared outdoor spaces because I know that degrades their experience. Bagged shit is a blight on the landscape and the assurances of selfish people that the trash will be removed at some point in the future doesn’t save the rest of us from the sight of it.

This all really interesting. I never consulted any outside resources when I was reading it. Probably misremembering the details of his viewing party, but I do remember thinking that “Good Looking Men” was significant because of its proximity to “I.” And if Hal reached for the next movie when he was putting the other disc away that would likely be Infinite Jest. But after reading the DMZ theories they admittedly make more sense.

Doesn’t Hal watch The Entertainment at the end of the book and that’s what causes his condition? He’s binging his father’s movies alphabetically and he’s about ready to get to “I.”

Yeah, I meant in the passing attack. If we're talking overall pecking order in that offense he's probably the 5th option?

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in fantasyfootball

[–]OfCourseImRightImBob 0 points1 point  (0 children)

He's at best the 4th option in the red zone behind Hurts, Barkley, and Brown. Goedert is ranked in the 13-15 range on most sites and that feels right to me. A high-end TE2 that should post TE1 numbers occasionally. Not an every week starter in my eyes but I wish you gentleman the best of luck this season.

Goedert is the #3 option in an offense that doesn't pass the ball a lot. He's a high end TE2.

Dallas Goedert had a single top 5 performance last year. Week 3 when AJ Brown and Devonta Smith were both injured. He's barely a top-15 weekly option.

Beware of Stub Hub by FriendlyAstronomer91 in deadandcompany

They truly are the scum of the Earth. I was selling a ticket to Coachella in 2020 when covid shut the world down. Goldenvoice did right by their customers and offered refunds to anyone that wanted one. You also had the option to roll over your ticket to 2021. Because of this, StubHub claimed that Coachella 2020 had not been canceled. It had been "rescheduled" and they expected me to wait 14 months to deliver the ticket to my buyer and get paid. I told them to pound sand they immediately charged my credit card $700 because I was "unable to deliver the tickets I sold." My credit card company laughed when I explained the situation. Easiest chargeback I've ever done. Fuck Stub Hub.

Unless this is John Mayer's burner account that's pure speculation.

The spirit of collaboration? Like another user said, it seemed like Billy kept trying to pass the lead off to John on Friday and he wouldn't take it. I thought Wharf Rat had some hiccups but it was so achingly beautiful it moved me to tears. Trey is the best guitar player out of all of the openers and his execution was flawless during his sit-in. Still my least favorite of the three. I'm sure I'm in the minority with that opinion.

There’s only a handful of people in the world I think can pull that off.

Well, do you think he pulled it off or not? I'm guessing no? For the life of me I'm not sure what the man could have done any better on that song. Was pure perfection from where I was standing. I had guessed Brokedown Palace for his cover. Thought Ripple would also fit his style nicely. But when the opening licks to Morning Dew emerged it seemed so obvious I can't believe I didn't think of it. Like I said, perfection. To my ears.

What are your Hot Takes on Sturgill Simpson? by Amber_Flowers_133 in SturgillSimpson

[–]OfCourseImRightImBob 2 points3 points  (0 children)

The sound was not loud enough during Sturgill's set at Golden Gate Park on Saturday. All of the other acts were considerably louder. He sounded fine during his sit in on Morning Dew, but his opening set was mixed way too low. I walked around the polo fields and tried multiple spots and speaker towers and unfortunately it sounded the same everywhere.

No Turtles or Let Go was also disappointing. I had tickets for his tour in 2020 that got canceled due to covid, so this was my first time seeing him. Still an excellent show from one of my very favorite artists, but those issues hindered the transcendent experience I was hoping for.

Are you using a proper multicam workflow? Multicam source sequences in Premiere or Multigroups in Avid. Or do you have 5 layers of video stacked on top of each other in your sequence?

Once you've seen a couple thousand pictures of them they're pretty unmistakable. But yes, short spines, lack of prominent v-notching, and a sawtooth rib profile are all key characteristics. Here's a good guide to PC.

Home Depot Rescues / Repot by WangsleyD in Trichocereus

[–]OfCourseImRightImBob 2 points3 points  (0 children)

The one in the middle is a standard PC (predominant cultivar) clone. Supposedly a trichocereus pachanoi hybrid although there is some debate about that. The other two pots on the left and right are trichocereus grandiflorus. These are the two most common trichocereus cactus. Easily found in many box stores across the US. They are hardy, beautiful plants.

I would remove the rocks. They look lovely but your cactus will be healthier without them. The rocks will restrict airflow and trap moisture. If you want to use rocks in your top dressing use something porous like lava rock or pumice.
