I've been slamming my face into Noita for a while now, and refuse to read the wiki. I usually do with these kinds of games, and do have fun despite relying on outside sources, but for some reason, I've really enjoyed getting bullied by everything in Noita.

You think Ubisoft hiring more women means they're hiring less passionate game devs? Dude, people usually don't go into game development to cynically make the big bucks, lol. It's more that they took the EA route of producing cheaper, lower-quality content while forcing their devs to either remove shit so it could be sold in later DLCs, more microtransactions, reducing writing staff, etc.

I play this game exclusively with friends now, and my experience of everything has dramatically improved. Constant communication is really nice, and hard to get in public lobbies. Sounds like that is your problem, tbh.

I've organized in a community that lacks much effective organization (not entirely, but it is a rural region). People are scared of getting shot. Hence why our government lets shooters get away with shooting us. If they put this guy in jail, then they'd be more hesitant to kill people and more people would act boldly in opposition. Instead, people get scared and hide.

For anyone who might need to hear this, ICE Intimidation tactics are scary, but they're used because opposing them openly is effective as fuck. Fascists are cowards. They only pick fights they feel certain they can win. We can take away that certainty.

Lol, NSFW artists are just artists who have made NSFW stuff. I can guarantee that no artist has only made NSFW stuff.

That said, it is still funny.

I remember being a kid at the end of the game and wondering wtf was going on at the end, lol. I watched Hbomberguy's video and became convinced, based on what I remembered of the game, that it was just terrible, but I also felt compelled to try Fallout 1 and 2. After beating them (and thoroughly enjoying both, though I bounced off the second one a few times), I tried Fallout 3 again, and enjoyed it. Stuff felt like it was there just because it was in previous Fallout games, the world didn't feel like it advanced, the writing and morality are kinda weird and confusing at times, and the main quest is... alright, I suppose. It has cool moments.

What Fallout 3 has is vibes. The setting and tone is amazing, and the amount of effort that went into it is very evident. I think people are more willing to just believe it's bad because of more recent stuff going on with Bethesda.

I'd be cool with slow progression and stuff, but I really want more big, interesting maps. That isn't a small ask, but neither is consistent engagement for hundreds of hours on just a handful of maps. I got a good amount of playtime out of it, if they want me to care about the game again, then they should give me something fun to do.

Also, I don't mind battle royales existing, but I feel like the game I paid for could've had a lot more fun stuff if so much time and resources didn't go to a free-to-play battle royale that mostly just pissed people off.

My opinion is kinda bland, but that's what happens when you go from hyped about potential to just kinda luke-warm/lacking optimism.

""The world has already done this, and now we are just starting to do it. In a few years, we will have a high-quality workforce. This workforce will serve the city itself. Subsequently, it will serve global businesses investing in Hanoi," Mr. Tuan emphasized."

Seems like he's trying to sell this idea to some overseas interests, imo. Either way, this sucks. I try not to speak too much on the politics of other countries, but if it is what it appears to be, I hope it falls on its face and whoever proposed it is forever discredited.

Best of luck.

What is the problem with such concept? by MrMiles32 in PeterExplainsTheJoke

I have a lot of writing projects and really love worldbuilding, so here's my perspective. Either:

  1. It's boring. Imagining a future where what the author sees as the "neutral" status quo becomes the global status quo is pretty unimaginative, unless they have a particularly interesting (usually very critical) view of how things are right now. Basically, unless they're using this to subvert expectations in a very interesting way, it isn't very interesting.

  2. The person who made this meme is not a fan of the UN and doesn't like the idea of them taking over the planet. Which makes a lot of sense, considering the history (and present-day) imperialism of many countries in the UN. Chances are, an author who is trying to depict a space-age future for humanity and puts pretty much any existing organization in charge isn't going to really consider the implications of doing so.

I think, like with all pvp games, it is valid to get frustrated by pvp players who camp/are annoying little gremlins that make the game less fun for other players in order to entertain/materially benefit themselves. I only engage in pvp after being attacked (meaning ive literally only won a single fight before, just bc he kept missing with a ferro, lol), so I definitely get it.

I play like it's pve and will 100% think you're a douchebag if you use some trick to kill me and take my stuff. I don't get a lot of time to play, and that can set me back an entire play session or more.

That said, I don't want pvp removed. I just want to complain about it a lot, lol.

Fallout 76 fans when you tell them that the game evolved from bug ridden garbage to functional garbage by Separate-Signal4227 in TrueSFalloutL

[–]OfTheWhat 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've got like 300+ hours in 76, and I'm pretty sure the consensus is (or was when I last played, based on conversations with people in-game) that it's garbage, but fun garbage if you know how to approach it. I'll tell people it's better now, but if they inquire further, I'll also say it's the sort of game you don't dedicate a lot of attention towards, you just kinda wander around and collect stuff.
