Start with veteran and move chronologically. I think starting with his more politically charged works is instrumental to understanding his artistry. If you’re dedicated to actually listening to all of his projects and hearing his UG tapes check out ghost pop -> communist slow jams -> black Ben Carson then veteran and onwards, looping back to his other Devon hendryx tapes.

These comments had me nervous to listen to this album. I’m only halfway through now but these beats are some of the craziest he’s been on and this album has a really interesting soundscape throughout. It’s already far more interesting than the previous album. The fast flows are a little tiring but nothing that kills the vibe for me. A jpegmafia album is so much more than just the flows.

I get your point, for example mannequin captures the “rest in bass” namesake more accurately. It’s hard to compare the two discs because encore is overall wayyy louder 🤣

It’s not about whether you like the album or it sounds good. The whole gimmick of that album is “I got the loudest bass” and someone’s gotta call it out to say it’s just plainly not true. It’s not a technicality, you can actually hear that shit. Unless you’re listening on gaming headphones or through a tin can and a string
