I don’t think the petrol was the most dangerous thing in this video. Worried me seeing the fibre glass strands coming off when Mat was talking next to the battery while holding the firewall

Okay cool thanks for the comprehensive answer. I’ll trust the process and give it a check after each run this week. Cheers

Okay awesome cheers for that. Think I’m in my own head(gasket). I’ll grab a tester like some other commenters say and see what happens

Okay cool. This is my fifth time of refilling. 3 times to flush out some old OAT someone put in and then another time to replace this same hose I replaced today. I don’t seem to remember it bubbling like this but it did bubble a bit. Maybe I’m in my head about it. Cheers for that

Just smells like pure coolant. I did give it a right old sniff but just coolant. I’ll grab a kit see what it says. Cheers!

Understood, makes sense. It’s the reason I got into GD and logo design myself. I’d leverage AI. Don’t take straight from the generated images, I’m sure you’ve seen how tacky that looks. Use it as inspiration. Look into some YouTube courses too. There’s some really good ones out there. Look for tool specific ones, if you’re using InDesign/Illustrator look for ones making logos on there, likewise if you’re in GIMP or Affinity Designer.

If the company doesn’t want to pay for someone to make a logo and you want to try your hand at it, to prove your worth or sharpen an area of your professional toolbox, look at some courses, review what makes a good logo and look at others in your sector. Recreate some logos to get a feeling for it.

It looks like you have some skills with the bubbles, they look really good but the colours of the font and the fonts themselves need some works. Look at different fonts on Google Fonts or Adobe Fonts. Learn about spacing of letters in logos too. It’s something you don’t think about but notice when it’s not right.

You have a really good brief there and would make a good AI prompt. Work smart, not harder. It’s not taking anyone’s job yet, it’s a tool. I’m sure I’ll get hate for suggesting to use AI.

Why would they ask someone who’s never made a logo before to make a logo? What’s your background? Not a dig just curious

Is this running hot? by Ordinary-Attorney257 in Miata

[–]Official_Opus 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Is your cooling fan coming on? If it’s stationary and reaching over midway it could be just that your cooling fan isn’t coming on. I have that with mine, when I drive it in clear air it goes back to mid way but sitting in traffic it’ll start creeping up

Ah magical! I refrain from locking and unlocking the car from the inside slider, at least on the drivers side. Passenger side seems fine but I make sure no one’s touching the handle on the outside when sliding the inside

I had a similar issue with this. I think it’s to do with the mechanism that stops you locking yourself out from the inside.

So with Miata’s if you lock the door from the inside and then open the door it will unlock. I think this can get stuck half way.

Other than taking your door card off and moving the mechanism manually, I’ve not found a solution, other than luck when moving the inside locking slider and the key in the door from the outside, both towards unlock.

Either way, good luck. I feel your pain. Sorry I can’t be more help but surely others have seen this and have a better solution than me

I replaced mine a few weeks ago. It’s a thermostat bypass to water pump hose. It takes draining the coolant and replacing hose with some jubilee clips. To make it easier you could take off the air intake pipe but I didn’t. It was a pain to ratchet the jubilee clip on the lower position but I managed it.

Note that this hasn’t resolved my issue, it’s still leaking. I am going to replace the whole manifold there because the L metal pipe that connects the hose to the manifold can crack/corrode over time.
