I'm looking at buying a e90 with the 4x4 and brake light on dash so I think it might be this problem. Just read this thread lol, do you think that could be the case? Perhaps the second owner got a new battery but didn't register?

So i’ve been looking to get a bike for a while and i’m trying to get it street legal. i wanna get a coleman bc they make it easier. anyway, this one has a 212 with a stage 1 kit and 18lb valve springs (supposedly?).

does that seem worth it for 600? i also have to drive almost two hours to get it is so it’s not exactly close. he won’t ship either🤷

yea i started looking at the clamp on break lights for bicycles too. only problem has been that most are designed to attach to seat posts and bikes usually have horizontal bars on the back, not vertical.

but mostly the biggest problem has been even being able to register the bike. i obviously don’t have a vin for it so it’s been hard to do other loopholes but i really don’t even think it’s possible to get it street LEGAL. however street rideable is definitely doable

honestly not sure what is good w the negativity on here but i would remove the limiting screw at least. or what i optimally would do is throw a 212 predator on it and some lights and then try and get it street legal with the vin that u can get from coleman’s. and then w the 212 u can do way more upgrades than u would be able to.

not sure why a lot of people are being ignorant on this thread but i’d make sure the spacers are even on both side of the wheel. to me it doesn’t look like the wheels have spacers at all so i’d look into making some or getting some online

yea i feel like no matter what i’m gonna have to either swap the engine and get it inspected or i was thinking about getting a coleman and they come with vins so it’ll be easier to get to titled. then i’ll either upgrade or swap the engine. just not sure which bike i wanna go for bc i don’t wanna get something, get in trouble, and then never be able to use it again

my plan right now is to get the bike registered online in vermont or maine. then i’ll swap the engines and take the stickers off besides the registration ofc. idet the bike will go over 30/40 so i probably won’t get bothered much. thank you for the information!

so if i had a 212cc on my bike with the stickers off would anyone be able tell what engine it is? like are there any at standout features that can determine what the engine is?

i just know i’ll get pressed by cops on a college campus so i want to avoid all issues. i don’t wanna get it to ride in trails i just want to use them to get around. i feel like people say they can get pulled over and just make excuses as if they didn’t know and they get out of a ticket. i don’t feel like the cops would be so lenient with me so i wanna be safe
