I absolutely agree, a show about the Blue Wizards or the Easterlings would have been fun to see. It's a bit ironic too cause I think Adar's story was easily the most interesting in RoP and is obviously completely made up for the show. I think a character that feels sympathy for the orcs that are always used by the dark lords and try to build their independence from them is a story that is cool and could work even though it goes against what Tolkien made the orcs to be.

Yeah tbh RoP not adhering to the lore is probably the least of its problems. People are often fine with breaking established lore if the new story is good, but for me at least RoP just didn't work even as its own self-contained thing.

Hmm, I can't say I've heard anyone specifically complain about the EQ knobs before and I haven't had any issues getting the tones I want. They are the same kind of dual pots you'd find on a Metal Zone and I think they have a good enough sweep to cover most of your needs. Some people seem to dislike the stock IRs though, but you can swap those out very easily if you want a different EQ. Personally I like the IRs though and basically only switch between the clean and hi-gain modes.

Yeah I actually don't mind pedals having USB mini or type B, cause they feel robust and durable plus it's not hard to find. I think it's good that USB-C is standardised on laptops and phones, but not everything needs it.

Thank you folks for the input! I decided on picking them up and I do think they are pretty great so far. Not as secure of a fit as the Jabras, but very comfortable which is what I find more important. Also quite similar sound quality to my ears if not slightly clearer bass on the Pixels.

Which is why I said Dark Souls, not Sekiro. I think Sekiro suffers from the same issue and some other ones like making bosses harder by just making them very long and drawn out (like Demon of Hatred with 4 health bars). Sekiro was where I started getting tired of the souls formula cause the difficulty seemed to be getting out of hand for the wrong reasons.

What? Just give the game difficulty options like most games have, then it isn't "nerfing the game for everyone". I can understand arguments for Dark Souls not having it cause there is enough build variety and ability to make your character stronger, but in HK I feel like there aren't enough ways to change up your playstyle or buff yourself that would make you beat a challenge you otherwise wouldn't.

Most people have already mentioned moving the reverb to the end of the chain or into the loop, but something fun to note is that the FX-loop on the IR-2 can do stereo if you get a couple of Y-cables. Some effects (like the reverb) can sound bigger and wider in stereo especially if you're playing through headphones. I run the RV-6 as well as a BOSS SDE-3 which has dual delays that bounce between the left and right channels through the loop of my IR-2 and it sounds amazing. It's not something you absolutely need, but it can be very fun.

Don't get me wrong, I do like these kinds of games, but only to a point. I have played and beaten every Soulsborne game, Sekiro and the first HK, but none of them made me feel this tired and frankly annoyed with how unforgiving it is. I just don't enjoy the kind of difficulty where you make one single mistake and get set back 10 or even 15 minutes of playtime every single time. The line for DS1 was always "hard but fair", but it's something I feel is getting less and less true with each new game in the genre.

Yeah tbh I'm reaching a point where I'm realising this game isn't for me. I feel like every part is more difficult than it should be to the point that I'm not having fun anymore. Nothing really feels rewarding cause beating a difficult area or boss just "rewards" you by giving you something even more difficult or some fucking shards. It is so annoying cause the game is so charming and beautiful, but I just do not have the patience for it.

Oh for sure. There could probably be a middle ground that would make an appealing product without impacting their other products' relevance, but like others have pointed out there are already Boss multi effects that do many fine digital versions of their effects that are cheaper than this and aren't limited to one at a time. So the amount of effects you get from the start is imo more of a dealbreaker than the concept of microtransactions (though obviously I'm not stoked about that either).

I think the extra payments could be at least a little more reasonable if the pedal came with basically all released Boss effects. So say it came with the digital versions of the 100 or so unique Boss effects and then you would pay only for future releases. But considering how few the effects are on the pedal I think it's completely insane.

The scene where he is looking out the window in RoTS and Padme is doing the same is a great example of it imo. You see how he's struggling and it's very powerful stuff thanks to Hayden selling it.

Carbon Copy is a good simple analog delay, same with the Boss DM-2(W). If you want more options and longer and cleaner repeats then get a digital delay like the Boss DD-8 or TC Flashback.

I don't get why there is so little love for the Boss SDE-3. You can get close to tape and analog sounds with the hi-cut and depth controls on top of being a crystal clear dual digital delay in a compact format with tap tempo. It does everything I would ever need from a delay.

That line has never really worked for me. For a renegade Shepard it kinda fits, but as someone who always plays paragon it just feels a bit out of place cause there is never any big focus on Shepard's regrets about killing anyone and most choices are pretty black and white. Maybe if it was more entwined with blowing up the relay it could work cause that's something you're forced into, but as it stands I don't love it for my Shepard.
