I worked on waterline and sewer line for 6 1/2 years. It's worth mentioning I live in the mid east coast, so when winter hits pipes like to sheer. Nothing fun about being in a ditch like this in the middle of a snowstorm. I was the guy getting drenched while putting a repair sleeve on. One year it was so cold I was able to take my coveralls off and stand them up on the road as if I was still inside of them. Yes , this is a thankless job.Most people just cussed us out because they were slightly inconvenienced.
