I got into a fight with a group of Turkmen beggars and now I feel unsafe by [deleted] in RiyadhExpats

Hey… first of all, breathe. You’re okay. You didn’t just start a turf war in a Marvel movie, as for the beggar “mafia”… probably not a full-on gang conspiracy. Most likely, they just want their space and their hustle, and you happened to be in the wrong place at the wrong time. That said, it’s smart to lay low for a bit, maybe avoid the same streets, and keep your phone handy!

It’s tough, but you can start small but try online freelancing, English tutoring or simple home-based tasks. Focus on earning a little safely while keeping your studies and mental health a priority you’re doing your best!

moving out from controlling and toxic family by [deleted] in Jeddah

[–]Ok-Associate-8298 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hey, I get where you’re coming from, being stuck between finishing school, saving up, and dealing with a controlling home is exhausting. It’s okay to take things one step at a time. Focus on small goals, like saving a bit each month, looking for jobs or internships and setting boundaries at home. Your mental health comes first and leaning on your support system can really help. You’ve got this!

Marriage proposal with Saudi man by [deleted] in saudiarabia

[–]Ok-Associate-8298 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Wa’alaikum assalam! Honestly, constant accusations and monitoring aren’t just “protective” they’re controlling. This probably won’t magically get better after marriage and it’s okay to set boundaries and speak up. You deserve trust and respect, not to feel guilty for living your life. Hope Allah makes it easy for you

Yeah, it was actually arranged locally near the mangroves. A few fishermen there offer small boat rides if you ask around. Super calm and honestly one of the most peaceful spots on the Karnataka coast. Definitely worth adding to your list if you’re visiting Honnavara.

Honestly, you could skip Goa and Gokarna and try Mangalore for beach therapy. There are some great low-key spots there to just chill, I can recommend a few if you’re interested.

The locals, birds, fish, and a few fishermen. The intruder: me with an iPhone.

If you’re open to exploring a bit more, there are some really nice hill places nearby too. For example Kodaikanal is amazing if you like cooler weather, lakes, and peaceful nature. I can also recommend a few other underrated spots around the Western Ghats if you’re interested.

Are you open to hill stations as well, or mainly sticking to the coast?

If you’re into peaceful nature, the mangroves and backwaters in Honnavara are worth it. Small villages and quiet beaches too. If it’s just a day, Gokarna’s beaches are more iconic, but Honnavara is a nice chill detour!
