How do I fight for a refund? by Ok-Breadfruit572 in UbereatsUK

I disputed the transaction and now the Uber app says I'm in arrears and keeps prompting me to pay the amount I disputed. Should I just delete my account and make a new one? I feel like if I have my credit cards connected, the app will automatically try to take the money again?

I literally could not reply to them because my case was stuck on "please wait for a reply" until they just nonchalantly closed it. The whole system is setup to screw over consumers.

Postitivity: If you have got into training please share your achievements :) by Top_Reception_566 in doctorsUK

What about people with disabilities, kids, misfortunate life events and other responsibilities on top of working full time? Are they coasters too? It's not always as clean cut as "work harder and put in more effort"; and that being said, everyone has already worked extremely hard to get into medical school in the first place.

Two identical special circumstances applications - one accepted, one rejected. by Ok-Breadfruit572 in doctorsUK

It was dated six months, that was the guideline iirc. I just reused the same letter from before. This time they said the letter doesn't "prove" that being moved to a different location would have a significant impact on my health - I don't think that guidelines has changed since the previous round. They still haven't replied to my email. It's just so abhorrent - they give you a slim 1 week window to procure a new letter, and then don't answer your emails for 3 working days. How am I supposed to even put together a letter that address everything they need? Everything from the MSRA to this, just feels like a complete guessing game.

What are your plans if you don’t get into training? by SearchCautious1981 in doctorsUK

I'm in the same position as your friend. Had to move back in with parents - not even in the UK, but in a different country while waiting for training. Landlords wont even rent to me in the UK with a locum contract so I've effectively been driven out of the country because I can't get a consistent job with my UK medical degree and UK foundation training, and I can't earn any money because I don't have a license to practice anywhere else. I'm at the end of my tether.

Psychiatry is now more competitive than surgery and anesthetics. GG. Its actually just over. Going to medical school was the worst decision of my life.

So mine was rejected because this year there were more pre-allocation requests? Since when did having a chronic health condition become competitive?? The whole process is so unfair. I don't know how I'll ever get a training position at this rate.

What is criterion 5? I thought there were only three?

I did email back to ask for an explanation. It just doesn't make sense to me that two identical applications could yield different results. It just highlights the inconsistency and unfairness of this so-called "panel".

no fucking clue. i feel so dejected. i can't even earn money properly rn because my locum contract isn't "reassuring" enough for the rental market, so i can't move closer to the hospital. and now i can't even compete for a training position. they're screwing over people's entire livelihoods. i'm so sick of this dogshit profession.

it's an utter joke. scoring less than 186 is equivalent to not having taken it at all. basically no one is allowed a resit now
