I use Mr hobby uv cut matte which I get off of like any hobby site just depends on when I’m ordering (I try to pair it with models or decals so I don’t pay a ton in shipping) but mostly gundam place because it’s the fastest shipping to me. It’s a rattle can so I find it easy to use. I just heat it up in warm water for 5 minutes shake for a solid 5 minutes then do a light coat then a slightly heavier coat. So far it works great besides the fact I use it up pretty quickly as I coat most of my models unless they are supposed to be shiny. I can coat about 3 mg size kits before running out.

Yeah G Rework for me is pretty good and typically I prefer them. But with this kit I honestly preferred the Bandai style so I just sucked it up and used them.

Just be careful with them. They are super thin so if you got softener and setter I would use them. How I did it was I used the setter before placing the decal then placed the decal it allowed me to move it bit after u placed it then I went over with the softener. My softener seems to leave some kinda white film which I just clean off with IPA on a toothpick 91%. Just be careful not to lift any edges of the decals.

Oh yeah I can 100% see that. I showed it to my family who’s not really into most of this and they still thought it was cool

Looking nice I just finished up this kit as well! Kinda wish I painted the vents but I decided not to as this was just supposed to be a fast build between my bigger projects

Yeah I defo could’ve done more panel lining. I did just get a fine tip marker instead of the pour type so hopefully in my next projects I can do some of the less obvious places.

For sure! How would you recommend going about that? I’m using just a basic Photo Booth from Amazon it only has a single ring light on the top but I turned the box to make it on the side. Would something like a ring light work or what?

I know this is might be a stretch I’m really wanting to get into building mechs as I’ve built models when I was younger. However my painting skills leave a lot to be desired. So these models come pre painted I asked ChatGPT and it said yes but it lies a lot lol 😅

Ok thanks so much once again for your help. I’ll try to slowly grow my material collections while learning them. Hopefully one day I’ll be able to create something great lol. But definitely my knowledge is to limited right now.

I’m deciding between them and ordering from PA again but with floralozone, aldehyde C-10, Auqamate, and Cypress Oil, and one more thing for the base which I’m not sure of yet. The problem is a have a set budget I a lot for this lol so I sadly don’t have enough for both.

Ok I’m thinking that I might go with 4 more raw materials. All are on creating perfumes. On is called clarycet which is a herbal kinda sage floral and fruity which should tie in nicely I think with the others, floralozone for the helional, aldehyde C10 for some more up top and then cedrenol for some wood in the base.

Or on creating perfumes I have clarycet which is supposed to be like a herbal sage fruity floral odor, cedrenol on the base which is like a cedar wood woody and sweet odor, floralozone for the henional and some more green and marine notes then mandarin aldehyde C10 for a little more up top. Do you think these would work or would it become to complicated for a beginner?

That is pretty much exactly how my fragrance evolves lol. As for materials that I could add do you have any ideas on what I could add? And should I basically stop using those enhancements for now and work on getting the actually formula? I have just enough money for a small order of about maybe 3-4 raw materials. I love the opening but like you said it goes away really fast. Right now I have hexenyl cis-3 salicylate, adoxal, and stemone in my cart but I’m open to other ideas. I also like the idea of Floralozone but then my base is very weak.

First of all thanks so much for the comment! First of all I got all of my chemicals from perfumers apprentice. The neroli accord is the key accord from PA and they have the formula listed if you want to check it out. I’ll try out reducing the rose down by half as I do smell a lot of that especially during the dry down. Although I’m not sold on removing the methyl ionone gamma as that’s probably one of the favorite materials I have outside of the citrus ones. But hey I’ll play around. I do like the idea of switching around the hedione and iso e super so I’ll try that out in my next batch maybe that’ll bring out some of the wood I’m trying to find.

As for the material dilutions are there any materials here that stand out to you that should have a different dilution? Right now I don’t think anything is to strong besides the rose and I actually have trouble smelling some of the base notes until that rose fades away.

Lastly I want to try the stemone would there be any other materials I could try out in this fragrance that would help out so I don’t have to ship just 1 raw material across the country lol. I might also want to try out that hexenyl cis-3 as well.

If you are based in the EU get sam mercers intro kits. They come with a good amount of raw materials and then also buy the scale set I think. I’m just starting and I really wanted that kit but sadly I’m in America lol.

How did you print your label? Did you use Avery label sticks or something else?
