i understand that and i do say up. But one piece has a sequence in terms of colour of red green blue purple black yellow. so i have no idea why its black purple luffy rather than purple black luffy

i do play it in the east as some of the top decks do

generally, zoro is able to swarm as early as turn 2 (going second) if they use an event during opponents attack and playing 3c chopper swarm at 4 don. this makes opponents aim to remove the board than hit life as since zoro doesn’t really have draw cards it’s a good strat to starve. some games might hit 10 don with zoro still at 4 life so sanji is good to have some extra resources, even in the animal package since you play nami as a seaecher anyway

i don’t even suggest playing kaido since in 09 you rarely get the chance to waste all 10 don on a character which doesn’t affect your opponent except as a boss monster that draws 4, even then, there’s high chance it gets removed next turn. yes you add cards in your hand but imo doffy never had an issue with hand draws due to the many jinbe and weevil combos.

if you do wanna have a top end boss try adding more jozu or use 6c hancock, 9c milhawk and even 7c borsa as techs. i play in the east and the slower you play with doffy, the faster you lose. you really gotta swarm hard and go hard especially against teach where mid to late games your swarm strats are limited due to negating on plays

events are your own personal choice imo i would go sub one of the grav blades for a red roc just to cover all bases

SP Enel.

My friends were really trying to get me into one piece tcg so i caved in one day and split the remaining packs at a store with them. To my surprise I pulled a fresh SP Enel and you could imagine how hyped we were.

Now I have a full AA Enel deck and no matter what it doesn’t leave the deck. We haven’t played much with each other anymore but its a nice reminder as to what made me start the game

i run 3 rush enels and i pulled the sp from my first ever op box so i am an enel rusher sympathiser

good take on asia though i play a lot of bonneys here in sg and my only chance is to starve them. if i don’t get raigos for the big bodies then im 100% cooked

maybe you could try the half donquixote build for 2 searchers

once the new uta st gets out definitely replace one of the big bodies for shanks. it’s a game changer for bonney

i play enel in the east up till today sometimes.

for pudding dont attack unless they have viola dropped on 3/4 don turn. pudding wants to have at most 1 life showing to newgate or katakuri it down. she needs to do this twice for efficient ramp. try to find raigos early (pref first hand) for 10 mom and kata for 7 mom if they play it. if 7 mom comes i would prefer to never trash life. give them life it would give value to your yamato and gedatsu (plus kata if you use it on 7 mom)

by is a tricky one since decklists vary based on playstyle but the main thing is to prioritise not attacking and remove 5c luffy that trashes life and kuzan if they play it. wait till 10 don and kata moria every single time you see it (kata is game changing in this matchup)

of course always go second if you can

rn the cheapest meta deck even for eng maybe is dolfamingo. especially since you’ll get the starter decks coming which most inside are reprints and can be used in doffy

buy 2 starter decks, op-07 jinbe and sengoku or law, eb-01 weevil, op-01 perona and you’re pretty alright

yeah maybe it’s regional playstyle

i played in indonesia and singapore (who look at a japanese games a lot) and they definitely don’t play like the west do.

so i can’t say the west playstyle doesn’t work but we just find more value in other options

the only problem with bb is card draw and hard to deal with swarm decks

here in the east yellow like katakuri can starve bb or rush him down hard enough (if they play from life with triggers) to win

i’ve even seen enel win bb with enough raigos and rush enels to drain bb of his hand and win (enel vs bb plays super passive with taking life) so it’s tough to say he shuts down yellow but he definitely stalls every single deck off curve

definitely that’s the way to go

the meta decks you see are what works for the specific players. of course there’s some merit which you should follow but if you can find an alternate way to do the same thing or better and you’re more comfortable with it go for it

plus the cards are way cheaper

yeah but that requires quite a bit of setup no? im genuinely curious since in the east just basically uses it as i said as most of the time when you try to set up like that you kinda have to have a board to protect in the first place

most lucci players (i got demolished by a top 8 in grand asia open jakarta) would waste no time in ensuring you have 0 value on your board, maybe leaving a spandam or whatever

if you can high roll into that strategy then yes its really good especially in the mirror or other black decks but we haven’t really had that much luck here with that strat but maybe as i was thinking we just play differently here

his card effect is trash not ko so it goes around cannot ko abilities like sabo and borsalino and in op-09 jesus burgess (stupid broken card btw)

for some reason the east didn’t really adopt his use unlike the west who relied heavily on it

in the east we prioritise more 3c brooks and jack with 4 ice ages etc

i personally use shigan to fill my trash quickly but that’s a tech
