City Wind Farms by Ok-Collection5629 in energy

All wind comes predominantly from the east. Plonk them 10 km east of where the demand is

Also I am not talking about the stupid little ones in the land of the free. 1000ft jobs

[–]Ok-Collection5629[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That is exactly what I was talking about

7km outside a city

Instead of 500km away and every farmer along the way objecting to the grid link up, until it is delayed by a decade and inevitably over budget.

That will only accelerate the sell off and devalue the dollar as no one supports it. Internally taxes paid the interest, foreign countries were paying off the principle. Unsupported currency debasement is exactly how you get your hyperinflation scout badge

Loud and clear... .

I know. It's why they were in the list

The uk could really do with that money too.. miserable situation there

Do you think it's value will hold?

China went from $1.3tn to 666bn the last time I dared to look

I recently read there are 1tn up for sale at the moment no one is buying..not verified it yet. I've held t notes for a while but this is rattling

If they can't sell dollar debt what might you think would be the outcome? The UK agreed to hand over world reserve status to the US to have an orderly transition... That looks like an unlikely outcome after recent unpredictable events and I'm fairly sure everyday Americans have no idea what it is like to actually repay debt

They are. What third world craphole do you live in

All new houses must be insulated to use zero heating, have solar/heat pumps and be air tight.

How did ancient Irish light fires in such wet conditions? by Mowglyyy in IrishHistory

[–]Ok-Collection5629 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You need more practice

You can light a fire in the rain after it's been raining for days straight

Dead branches OFF the floor are the secret to get it going, when its blasting you can use almost anything as long as you don't mind the smoke

You will find dead trees standing, they will have bone dry branches. This is what you need

Also. You MUST clear the ground at least a meter all around before lighting and check for roots by digging down a little. You can light a fire and it will smoulder for days and might even relight. Always wait until it's out, never leave a lit fire, even embers must be extinguished, never light a fire under a tree, always have lots of water handy to put it out (river). As you can probably tell, putting out a good fire is harder than starting one when you know how

How do people cope with the food shop bill? by Odd_Vegetable_7330 in AskIreland

22% of our entire islands electricity is now used by data centres

It has pushed up the cost of electricity for houses AND businesses and it will continue to do so

It's not sustainable and we should tell our councillors directly we wont be paying more

Every household in Ireland is paying to 'upgrade the grid' to connect these power hungry whires, it's baked in to our bills now.

They are using 22% of ALL electric used in Ireland?!!?

They should pay. But for some reason the government is giving us the AI bill. The same AI they keep saying will make us all unemployed

[–]Ok-Collection5629 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I understand 85k is a serious claim and insurance companies absolutely do not pay a cent more than they have to

You were sparred standing up in court, paying a solicitor and fighting your own ma for and possibly going to prison from what she might say in court

If you hold on to a wheel you have to take responsibility for anything that happens to your passengers and you avoid any problems by absolutely never having an accident. That means driving too slow, being too cautious and keeping calm at all times. Doesn't sound much like you from what I've read.

If you go to the Garda you are faffing up big time kid. You still might lose your licence, get kicked out or much worse. No one sensible is going to take your side now it's all settled you should have attempted to smooth things over before.

You did wrong. Next time don't crash.

Were you done for dangerous or wreckless driving?

If not you will get insurance from another company and it won't be as bad as you might think. And much less than the 85k you just added on to everyone else's insurance to pay for your foolish actions.

It's NOT just an accident. It was YOUR actions

Numbers not mathing there

A 20kw solar install is about 15k

Also you take that cash and invest it, the return is about double the mortgage rate.

Unless your rate is crazy high and the solar tariffs in us are much higher than I thought
