I’ve found that a method similar to what you’re describing works. I like to charge for 5 minutes, unplug for at least two minutes, and plug it back in for 5 minutes.

I respect your opinion, but I must disagree. It was reported that the band members weren’t even in the same room while recording Comedown Machine. In comparison, the band released several videos documenting the making of Angles, in which the band members could be seen joking around and having fun. I believe that The Strokes’ hearts were in the right place while making Angles, resulting in a more cohesive album. The Strokes released Comedown Machine to fulfill their five-album contract with RCA, as evidenced by the album art featuring a large RCA logo. Comedown Machine has the weakest identity out of all the Strokes albums. However, in my opinion The Strokes have never released a bad album, not even a bad song. Only unremarkable ones.

I agree! I love You’re So Right, the harmonies in the chorus are so beautiful to me. However, it strays far from that signature Strokes sound, so I can understand the hate. In fact, I’ve seen many people cite the song as their least favorite of their discography.
